This was our 14th cruise, it being the second on an Azamara ship in the last 3 years. We were expecting another 5 star cruise, however it fell short of our expectations. We agree with recent reviews that the dining and cabin staff were excellent. What disappointed us most was the variations in food quality in the Discovery Dining room as well as minimal information of what we could do if we wished to do our own tours when visiting ports. If you went looking, you could get a photocopied black and white, hard to read map of the various cities we visited with no indication where the ship was berthed, or where the shuttle bus dropped us off in the city. Most of the maps were outdated. We had to rely on volunteers to help us with suggestions as to what we could do when doing our own thing. The shuttle buses, however were both frequent and clean with cheerful staff.

You would have thought that being in Australian waters, especially in Queensland, we would have seen fresh tropical fruit a lot sooner than 7 days into the cruise. Again it was 7 days before we saw an Australian and New Zealand wine with our food as part of the 'free wine' supplied on the cruise. The free bottled water was either made in China or the USA.

The entertainment at night was generally very good, especially the ship dancers and singers. The disappointment was they only put on 3 full shows during the 10 night cruise. The 'Amazing' evening was also vey good. James Morrison put on a brilliant show, however not all the 650 people at the event would like Jazz. I believe the 'Amazing' event should have been cheaper access to viewing the "Great Barrier Reef' as apposed to paying $260/person for a 7 hour small boat cruise to the reef then onto Hamilton Island!
