We left New Zealand a fortnight before the cruise as we have family in Vancouver and had a week there before we did some touring on Vancouver Island (highly recommend the West Coast; Tofino & Ucleulet) In Vancouver, the family don't have room for us so we use la Quinta and Best Western.

We were horrified to find that the Jewel was berthed at Ballantyne, we have been told since that is no longer in use. It meant a far more difficult and costly journey from our hotel. The actual embarking wasn't the best either, ask those who were "In Transit" about that!!

When we got on the ship everything went 'swimmingly' till we got to Miami.

Very acceptable for what we paid with an excellent steward.

Seattle

We had been in Seattle before and had missed out on going to Boeing. Our daughter and son-in-law had done the tour a little before us and had enjoyed it. If you have any interest in planes it is not to be missed. It was also interesting to see Seattle from a bus rather than walking as we had done before.
