I cruised with my husband – I am 51 and he is late 40’s. This was my 10th cruise and his 8th. We have cruised on Royal, Carnival, Princess and two other NCL ships. We chose this cruise on the Sky as a quick getaway since we live in Florida. We got a great deal that included the Ultimate Beverage Package and I felt the overall value for this cruise price-wise was great for the short getaway we planned. The ship is small and older but I found it to be very pretty, easy to get around and very clean. Most of the employees were friendly and helpful with the huge exception of the bar servers. Since we had the beverage package this was particularly disappointing. It is the primary cause for the low rating.

Embarkation – This was easy. We arrived at 11:30 and were on board eating lunch within an hour. Staterooms weren’t ready until almost time for the safety drill. The drill took quite a bit of time and it was extremely hot. Disembark was also fast.

Cabin – We chose an Inside cabin and we usually have a balcony but this one was a budget minded getaway and this cabin suited its purpose. It was weird to us that we never saw the cabin steward except once by chance. He did his job but didn’t really go out of his way or engage with us as we are used to on other NCL ships and other lines. I wouldn’t get an inside cabin for any cruise longer than 3 or 4 days but this one was adequate for a short time. Read more
