very relaxing cruise with daily excursions...most days we had both morning and afternoon excursions with local guides. With the exception of Strasbourg, the local guides were good to excellent. Food onboard was fantastic. There was confusion over what was included and what was an extra charge. Waiters routinely pushed expensive after dinner drinks before offering complimantary coffee or tea. Amadeus Club was available to us but no one told us.
Fitness room was poorly equipped....with only one set of weights (one pounders)....plus an odd 5 and an odd 3. No treadmills. No water available in the Fitness room. beauty parlor was closed for our whole cruise despite being advertised as available.
No native English speaking staff at all. Language was a bit of a problem despite being advertised as an English speaking tour. staff generally friendly and attentive. No one told us that bicycles were available and free. No one told us that coffee and tea were available free in the Amadeus Club. Passports were kept until we paid our bills and turned in our keys despite telling us we could have them back any day as needed. In summary, it was not at all clear what was available and at what cost.
Comfortable cabin, good "French Balcony" provided nice views and fresh air. Staff kept cabin spotless.
