This cruise is actually quite good, it exceeds my expectation in most aspects. For example the food is well-cooked in Italian style, not American style junk food that appeals more to some taste. The lunch buffet is one of the largest. Some 10 food stations each offering some 10 choices. The entertainment is vibrant...there is a production show every night which is at least well-planned and of large scale. These are youngish show not the 60's MGM musical type bad-singing show on some ships. The ship itself is in good condition. The cabin (mine a simple balcony) is quite spacious and clean. The operation is better than rival Costa in every aspect in any case (can't help to compare), as the latter is now trying hard to impose extra charge on customers. The first language seems to be English not Italian, and not every announcement is in 6 languages. The life drill is simple and conducted inside for air-conditioned comfort, again not Costa style. But embarkation and disembarkation is a real mess...though I can beat it, if you are not in hurry.

But it is incredible that I vacate cabin at 8am and allow to leave ship only at 11:15 (no harm, as I used the time for some work on computer). The good value and adequate service will make me return.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Good-sized cabin and clean. Adequate.

Port Reviews

Venice

Best port for pre- and post-cruise, but Summer can be hot and pricy.

Katakolon (Olympia)

Worst port on the Med or on earth...nothing to see. Two short street for junks and that's it.
