Traveled with my wife and 2 kids ages 5 and 10. Lets start with the good. The ship was clean,the shows were good and they had a lot of activities throughout the day.Breakfast was great. The kids club was a plus also. We were in a standard balcony stateroom. The room was very small as well as the balcony. The food was average to below average except for breakfast and the Teppanyaki restaurant that was extra. The pools are HORRIBLE. They are small and have only one way in and one way out. They only have 2 pools and they closed the one off to adults only. The adult pool is loud and very smokey. The ship has a smoking section but its very close to both pools and all you smell is smoke all day. The towel policy is the worst ever,you must bring your towels from your room everyday and exchange them with new ones. Do not forget your towel because you will have to go all the way to your room to get one. The have 5 slides but do not advertise that you have to be over 100 pounds to go on two of them. The pool deck is hot and very slippery. We saw at least 10 people kids and adults bite it hard. There is no way to watch your kids in the pool area because there are multiple exits for the kids. 23 cruises and this is the first to charge for room service,food is free but they charge you 7.95 every time you order. Norwegian charges 13.50 a day per person for tips but the only one you need to tip is your room guy. Every cruise that I have been on the people that took care of us new are names from day one. The thing I missed the most was the people who took care of us knew us,we felt as thou we were just a number and a tip to them. In the last 4 years I have been on Disney dream,Carnival Breeze and the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the seas. Disney being far away the best line even if I didn't have kids. The carnival Breeze is by far a nicer ship,better service and better water park than either the Getaway or Liberty. This ship is for people who like to smoke,don't like to swim and like to pay extra for good food. I wanted to try Norwegian because i wanted to see what i was missing. Dollar for Dollar go on the Breeze and enjoy yourself. If money does not matter go on Disney with or with out kids you will have a great time.
