I am a Diamond cruiser on Royal and I was so looking forward to this trip and experiencing this ship. It was obvious to me that the new focus of RCL is how to save money at the expense of comfort and satisfaction of the customer. There have been some changes since my last cruise on RCL, and I can't say that I feel they are for my betterment. These changes include: 1. The checking in process there is not priority for Diamond members any longer. 2. The key to my room was in my room and the door had been left open and there was a new bracelet left that did not consistently work on my door. 3. You had to have reservations for everything, I was not notified of this prior to boarding. 4. I had made reservations for the shows prior but when I arrived on the ship my reservations conflicted with other scheduled activities I wanted to attend but could not, and reservations could not be changed. 5. The new internet policy did not suit my needs at all. Twenty-four hour usage during five sea days was not enough to keep in touch with my family I had no choice but to buy additional time. 6. The price for movies is listed on the TV but the movies that are shown on the deck are not shown on the TV unless you purchase them they were free on deck why not reshow them on the TV.

My overall impression is beautiful ship but RCL is no longer customer friendly they are looking to increase their bottom line at the customers expense.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

They cabin was wonderful and the steward was excellent. Why have two sets of life jackets? In the briefing it is stated that if you are not in your room go to your muster station and a life jacket will be provided so why not save some space and pass out all the life jackets in the event of an emergency?
