Living in Ft. Lauderdale makes it very easy to cruise. This was my second cruise on Holland, have been on many cruises since 1976 and so far Celebrity had been my favorite. Eurodam exceeded my expectations on all levels, the food was amazing in both the dining room and specialty restaurants, the food was fabulous and surpassed Celebrity on this cruise. Lido's food was good, but the set up on Celebrity is more efficient with different stations as opposed to lines in the Lido areas. Dive In burgers are wonderful and the fries, worth every calorie!!
Embarkation was very organized and we were on the ship in less than 20 minutes. First thing was to the Spa to book the wonderful Spa pass for the Hydro Therapy pool and hot beds, worth every penny, $249.00 per couple for the week, very quite relaxing area. Had one Spa treatment and it was OK.
Half Moon Cay is beautiful and we did the horseback riding..it was great, the horses looked to be well cared for and the staff was outstanding.
Loved the extra space in the Signature Class Suite and the location mid ship mid deck everything so close. Don't think I can go back to a regular balcony after this.
Did not go ashore as I've been to this island many times, instead enjoyed having the Eurodam to enjoy with most people ashore. If less ships were in port, we would have gone to one of the many beautiful beaches, did not want to hassle with the traffic.
I live here, love it and would not consider living anywhere else. No shore excursions in my hometown to report. Lots of great places to visit if you are from out of town.
