This was my second Carnival cruise (Breeze in 2014) and first for my husband. We normally sail on Royal Caribbean, prefer the large ships and have sailed approximately 10 times. This time we took advantage of driving from our home to the port of Baltimore in 30 minutes. At first all was well. The directions to the port, parking, everything was great…until we went inside the terminal. That is the most disorganized mess I have ever seen. It took an hour to go through the security screen then another hour to get our sail pass and board the ship. Did I really need to purchase a “get to the fun faster pass?!!” This was insane and we kept saying, oh my, this not Florida. Is this what we have to look forward to for the next 7 days, standing in line forever?

But it was fun, fun, fun until we got off the ship this morning. The Pride is not a large ship, but it was big enough. I did not feel like we were on top of each other. The entertainment was fun, music was great. The shows were entertaining. The performers really put their hearts into the performances. We enjoyed the adult comedy shows. There were 4 comedians. They were so popular that on the last 2 nights you couldn’t get a seat in the comedy club to see the last 2 comedians.

We had a balcony stateroom. There was ample storage space and it was reasonably clean when we arrived. A little dusty on those surfaces that no one notices but me. Our stateroom attendant did a great job. On the last two days of the cruise we had ants on our balcony. Not a colony but enough to make you wonder how they got there. Read more
