Sail Date: Mar 2004

We just recently sailed on the Sensation out of Tampa FL. We booked our cruise through Carnival at the last minute and got a great deal on the price. We were thrilled to be going. I will try to break this down in sections to keep things straight.

Embarkation - Went very smooth, directions were great, got right to the pier and dropped our bags. Parking is right across the street, very easy to get into. We proceeded to pier pickup to get our documents, staff was friendly and the line moved quickly. Upstairs to the check in, had a little wait, but nothing to speak of. Again staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. We waited about 10 minutes and they called our group and we strolled on board. While in line we noticed on they had assigned us late seating when we had asked for early, so as soon as we were on board I spoke to the Customer Service desk, they said we had to speak to the Dining Staff to change. We decided to continue to our cabin and address that later.

Cabin - We were on the Empress Deck Cabin E33 Forward on the right side - inside cabin. Cabin was good size and the bathroom had a regular stand up shower. Beds were made up with fluffy down comforters that were great. However, you could tell the staff had done a quick job on the clean up. The previous guest had left a hat hanging on the hook and it looked like someone had laid on the bed after it was made up. Overall the cabin was great - plenty of storage and kudo's on the shower. Large in size and plenty of hot water and I have to say the pressure was sensational.
