Sail Date: Mar 2015

This cruise started at Tilbury and we were embarked just 15 mins after our time of 10.45. We were welcomed on board by a line of staff and escorted to our cabin by a very polite steward. First impressions were good with a spacious inside cabin. We had an enjoyable lunch served in either the buffet or dining room. Sailing was late due to problems with delivery butthere was plenty to do. There was a lot of open deck space and various lounges. The theatre was lovely, 2 tier and the show was an Abba tribute which was quite good, We also saw a comedian. We were also served afternoon tea and our 7 course meal was very good. The dining room was very spacious and the food good. We even had a Baked Alaska parade. In the morning breakfast was quite crowded and served in the dining room or buffet with lunch before we left the ship. The only down sides were the lack of public toilets, there were several but mainly large disabled ones for one person. The queues for ladies and gents were huge. Disembarkation was slow mainly caused by passengers blocking the reception area and there was also a medical emergency. All in all it was exceptional value and we would cruise on Magellan again.

Cabin Review

Cabin 4

Very large twin bedded cabin, much larger than the equivelant P&O cabin. A decent shower and toilet. No tea or coffee making facilities. Very quiet and no engine noise. In a good position for things.
