We just disembarked and are spending 2 nights in San Jose before flying home. We booked the particular cruise quite some time ago because of the price and transiting the Panama Canal. I had read all the reviews since our booking and was somewhat disturbed by the negative reviews in the beginning but as time went on the reviews started to get better. Let me say at the outset that overall we had an extremely restful and relaxing time and truly enjoyed the cruise. We had a balcony cabin which was wonderful, roomy, well decorated with incredible storage. The shower we fantastic. The food was great, varied and delicious and 99% of the staff could not have been friendlier and solicitous. There we 4 significant black marks. First the cabins were hot-turning down the thermostat did not bring the relief we were looking for. Second the evening dining room was also extremely warm. Third the concierge staff was clueless and uninformative; if there is not a change soon in this area the ship's reputation will suffer greatly. Finally they really really need to get their act together with providing shore excursions.
