We went on the new CCL Sunshine in March of 2014 out of New Orleans. We were only like the 3rd cruise from NOLA on the "updated" and "new" Sunshine. Was our 2nd cruise with CCL and our kid's first cruise ever. The ship looked nice, and it looked freshened up with new paint and carpets.

Crew was wonderful, and the food was very good. The issues were the ship is poorly laid out, and there was a sewer stink when you lined up for dinner, and near the comedy club. The comedy club was way to small and was laid out very poor as half the audience only saw the act via TV screens, hallways were always packed, decks over crowded and the disembarkation in Cozumel was HELL, not only did they not open the doors, they allowed folks to pack so tight that fights broke out. The who experience in Cozumel on the sunshine was horrid.

first night out of NOLA we were sitting for dinner and the next thing we know the rain comes dripping to a steady flow through the window onto our table and us. The worse was not over, that night we got back to our room and somehow the toilet had overflowed without anyone in the cabin and the entire floor was wet. Oh and that is not the biggest issue, the crew took over an hour to respond, and the plumber stated "All the toilets are having issues right now for some reason" you go back into the hall and the smell of sewer. We will never sail on the sunshine ever again.....
