We boarded the Millie for our cruise to Singapore from Sydney after having been on the Solstice for a week and were disappointed in the lack of updates especially since she had been in dry dock for engine repairs just a few months prior.
The staff was mostly new and it took them more than a few days to realize that a smile and friendliness gets you a long way with the passengers. We had an incident in one of the specialty restaurants and were truly more than happy with the way they handled it from the top to the bottom. Truly appreciated the follow up to my situation and the concerns.
All in all we would not sail on the Millie again until there is a complete refurbishment and the ship has a friendlier look to it, we were constantly thinking it reminded us of a nursing home and not because of the age of the passengers.
Our cabin was OK, for Concierge Class, it was not what we expected. Configuration was poor as was the decor. Cabin Steward was either poor or super on any given day and having been in a Concierge Cabin on the Solstice the week before this was a real let down.
