our party of eight had all cruised before but each one of us would not pick carnival again. The sunshine just didnt have that wow factor, its motto seemed to be "get them on, get them spending, and get them off again." Some things we liked a lot but overall we'd give it 5/10. The main problem with the ship was the big cinema screen that blared out movies all day long despite the fact no one was watching. The so called adult serenity area was anything but serene because of this constant din! The service was mostly poor nobody seemed to go out of their way to make you feel special. No one greeted you on or off the ship. We never got to meet any of the crew, they were not introduced. There were no themed buffets, most of the crew just chatted between themselves. The excursions were however very well organized. We very much enjoyed the guided tour of Rome. It seemed that every port we had to pay to get off the docks. We made use of the red hop-on-hop off buses in nearly every port.

The balcony cabin was ok although i did expect a fridge and a kettle for a balcony price. Apparantly a kettle is a fire hazzard (but smoking in the large casino area wasnt!)

I also asked for a mattress topper for the bed as i found it uncomfy.
