I was quite prepared to like the ship as my Norwegian friend said it was good.
This was our 28th cruise. This was the first time for free style dining. On this ship free style meant serve the mediocre food in the "complimentary" dining rooms and stick it to the passengers who go to the specialty dining rooms to get the food and service that is normal fare on other ships.
As another commented, the soup on the first night was cold. The roast chicken was so tough you could hardly cut it, the mashed potatoes were like soup and the peas & carrots weren't cooked. The next nights meal wasn't much better. These were in the 7 Seas. We then tried the Italian restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The kind of service you get in the main dining rooms on Holland America and Celebrity.
The cabin was ok, nice storage areas. The bathroom was too small, the shower was ridiculously small. It did have good hot water though. No hand/body lotion in rooms. We had a large porthole window and we quite enjoyed it.
