Just returned yesterday from a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky. This cruise was perfect for first time cruisers or if you are looking for a quick getaway. My friend and I (my friend hasnt cruised in 20 yrs) were looking for just that, a quick getaway, and I to get back into cruising (its been 6 yrs for me). We booked through a local travel agent in the beginning of December. We arrived in Miami the day before we were set to take off on the ship. This was a great idea just in case our flight got delayed. We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites. Im glad we only had to stay there overnight. Most likely will not be staying there again, and do not suggest it.

Embarkation: we arrived at the port of Miami at 1230 pm. I was hoping to get there earlier so we could settle onto the ship and find our way around before the crowds started, but the shuttle from the hotel only had one time, 12 pm. Once we arrived at the port, the baggage man was very rude and basically told us we had to tip him. We then proceeded into the NCL building to get screened and check in. This was an easy and fast process. We had our room cards and was on the ship in no time. Once on the ship the rooms were ready when we got there so we dropped our bags off at the room and headed for lunch.

Food: food was ok if your not too picky. Included your basic fries and burgers, usual buffet food and desserts. With the four day cruise, i did miss the shrimp and lobster, none of which was offered during the cruise. We did try Cagneys steakhouse for dinner one night and we highly recommend it for a good steak.

Cabin Review

Inside mid-ship room was great for the price and ok for 2 people but probably not any more than that.
