My wife and I took our December holiday combined with an overdue honeymoon to the seas for 18 nights aboard Seabourn Quest (11 port stops, not the 8 shown above) and we were not let down at all; this doesn't mean that there were no challenges at all but relatively speaking, they were minor. Let's get the challenges out of the way first - 1)December cruising on some luxury liners results in a lot of older (post 70) passengers which in itself isn't a problem at all, until you are aboard a vessel where it seems that about 80% are over this age. I think it fair that a predominant "seniors" age indicator somehow needs to be implemented at the booking stage! 2)The Aruba excursion could have been better organised with more fitting facilities or located at a less overcrowded beach - somewhat unpleasant. 3)The Seabourn website system for pre-booking excursions and on-board spa treatments is not correctly linked to the on-board account that is opened for new passengers and this proves very frustrating indeed. 4)No celebratory fireworks were arranged for New Year's day at some beach location unfortunately and this was sorely missed by many :-( Now, the good stuff! Seabourn's staff are exceptionally well trained and are very pleasant indeed, going the extra mile. The food and culinary menu quality is exceptional, especially in the Main Restaurant and the signature dish Restaurant 2, which both give 5 star service. The suites are well appointed with 24 hour room service manned by a dedicated team that actually goes the extra mile to provide requests that are not shown on the room service menu! The excursions got better with each port we sailed into, culminating with a private island beach day at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas which was totally exceptional, TOTALLY!
Very well appointed marble clad bathroom. Fair sized closet space with lots of packing space throughout the suite.
Very comfortable Queen bed with excellent view from the floor to ceiling glass-wall and glass walled balcony. Quiet room on a high floor.
