This was our very first cruise. Overall it was very enjoyable and we would certainly go on another cruise. The entire embarkation process went very smoothly and we were on board before noon and sitting eating lunch at the Lido. It was not much longer when they announced our rooms were ready. We had a veranda room which was very nice and clean.
Our first nights dinner was somewhat difficult. We had reserved a table for four even though we had open seating. Everything seemed to be going ok to start the dinner when the dining host came over and sat two strangers at our table that had room for six. We were very shocked and uncomfortable after we had specifically asked for a table for four. The waiter that night was also very impersonal and not someone we wanted to share seven nights with! The next night we randomly got an actual table for four and had a great waiter. With some talking to one of the dining stewards we enjoyed the rest of the cruise at the same table and the same great waiter.
Our first night at sea brought on some sea sickness from one of us newbies. The uneasy feeling lasted into the next day when we made a trip to the doctor where they were very helpful and the rest of the cruise was free of queasiness.
The cabin is what we expected. It was small entry way. Both of us could not stand side by side in the entry. Lots of closet space, but if a door is open to the closet, no one can get through. We had a couch/bed which wasn't the most comfortable but serviceable. The veranda was very nice with two comfortable chairs. The bathroom was small but had three shelves on the side for storage and had a tub/shower combo.
