This was our eighth cruise and our sixth with NCL. It was a repositioning cruise departing from New York, luckily the week before the big storm hit that city. As we travelled down the Atlantic, we had no indication of there being a storm as our ship likely sailed around it.

From the moment we boarded, we were greeted by outstandingly friendly crew members. These greetings, such as "good morning", "how are you", "good evening". etc. continued throughout the cruise by each and every crew member, along with a smile. We felt that they were genuine in their intent and it made the cruise very pleasant.

The food in every area of the included dining areas was varied and good and we didn't feel it was necessary to eat in the paid restaurants. We like the freestyle cruising offered by NCL because it is more relaxed and allows you to eat when hungry rather than on a schedule. We have experienced the scheduled seating and the formal evenings and although they were nice, the other option is much better.
