Fun Vacation!!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Vista

There were 20 of us (family and friends) that sailed the Vista together. I was the only one with children (10 and 13 year old daughters). We flew into Fort Lauderdale the night before the ship set sail and got a ride (van transportation) to the Red Roof Inn in Miami. This hotel has no frills, and a LOT of stray cats roaming the grounds. If you only need a place to sleep the night before your ...

I thought the ship was wonderful. I cruised on this ship last year but was not able to see it since it was during it's inaugural sailing in Europe, During the inaugural sailing the port tours took a long time to get to and a long time to return to the ship. Those who had early dining didn't always make it back in time for dinner. It gave me the opportunity to try some of the restaurants ...

We booked Havana Cabin overlooking Pool which was green for 2 days until we asked why the pool is green.Well,it wasn't tile, the pool was dirty; the crew member said wasn't enough chemicals on board,so we went up to deck 10 & those pools were green too.Informed GS & the 3rd day all the pools were clean!Dining is not very good except for Guys burgers, Guy's BBQ, Sushi & the Seafood Shack. We went to ...

We were excited to try this new ship but overall a bit disappointed. We miss the glass elevators in the atrium and felt like the dining rooms section you off too much from other guests. The Chef's Table was well worth the extra money, but we walked out of Cucina due to poor service and undercooked chicken. Jiji was also good. The casino bar staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed ...

My boyfriend and I's second cruise together, and my fourth cruise overall. And boy, do we seem to have a hard time picking the winners. I wish I could leave a better review, because I was super excited for this vacation, and went into it with positive expectations. First of all, we are Florida residents, and have the luxury of driving to Port of Miami for departure. Port of Miami is ...

I have traveled with Carnival 3 times prior to this cruise and it was decent for the price. The Vista did not include hardly anything. The zipline bikes were only open 3 hours a day, the restaurants were only open at odd times, usually when people were enjoying the islands, my grandbaby was told he wasn't allowed in the pool because he wears swim diapers - yet many other toddlers in diapers were ...

Pros: All service workers were wonderful!! Nigel (pool service) was amazing so friendly and fast. Cons: The choices of dinner food was limited, only one line for the buffet (options for kids minimal). If you wanted to do a up charge venue then you could eat supper. Large percentage of passengers acted in very inappropriate ways, ignored all rules, children left unattended in the water park, ...

Had A Great Time On The Vista

This was my first time sailing with Carnival. I've always traveled with Royal Caribbean, so some of my comments may be a result of being "used to" a different cruise line. Embarkation - We arrived on time and the line through security moved fairly quickly. However, once we got through it, we waited almost an hour before starting to make our way onto the ship. I would have preferred to use ...

Vista Mystery Cruise After Hurricane Irma

We booked this cruise because it is Carnival's flag ship which we had not been on yet, and we liked the original Eastern itinerary which was switched to a Southern itinerary. The new ports were ok, but we had just been to those same ports six months ago. We didn't book any excursions through the ship. We loved the free pool at Amber Cove, so we mostly hung out at the pool, drank local beer, and ...

Vista...No more sailing the new ships!

Chose this cruise because I wanted to sail on Carnials newest ship. Although I had a great cruise, as I believe a cruise is what you make of it, I am done with Carnivals newer ships. Although the older ones may be considered 'gaudy', they are COMFORTABLE, the new ships are NOT! Reasons: The Liquid Lounge.. Is thee anything good about it? Chairs are too close, smaller, and please, please ...
