Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Poorly prepared, presented and generally unappetizing food. "Grab and Go" bar featured precooked, grey hamburger patties, shriveled hot dogs. The boiled eggs in the morning were in a hot skillet with no water, so were getting brown and tough under the shell. Main dining room, one supervisor was extremely rude, demanding to see our Sea Pass, she thought we had moved to a table on our own, it ...

Royal's vision not our own.

Cruising is our most cherished way of vacationing. Over the years we have given taken a dozen cruises. For the most part, I have to say our cruise was fraught with what I will call Royal Caribbean's attempt at cost cutting which is dreadfully apparent. No tongs with our ice bucket in the stateroom, no mini fridge, no stationery, no pens/pencils, forget the possibility of a chocolate on the ...

We booked this cruise to coincide with a previous week at a time share in Orlando. We arrived at the ship about noon on the Saturday and were promptly processed and on board by 12:30. Staterooms aren't ready until one so we did an exploration tour of the ship. We were in an ocean view cabin on deck 2. When we were able to get into our cabin we noticed a slight door around the ventilation ...

Southern Caribbean out of Tampa

We are experienced cruisers (Diamond) and this was our first cruise out of Tampa. This particular itinerary was unusual in that it went from Tampa all the way to Aruba/Curacao, a 9-Night Southern Caribbean cruise. The off-port parking at Park4Cruise was excellent. Even though we didn’t pay for the shuttle, we had no problems using it. The drivers were quite courteous both directions and even ...

The Concierge Made the Cruise Amazing for Us!

We chose Royal Caribbean's Southern Caribbean itinerary since it included several places we had never been to (Aruba, Curacao and Grand Cayman). I have to say that what I want to talk about most is our concierge Mangesh (MJ). If we asked him to do something, he made it happen, including a party in our room. We were in room 8001 which was 2 doors down from the bridge. We got to know the ...

The Vision of the Seas had been to Europe and this was the second cruise departing the US since her return. We were traveling as Diamond Members, so this was not our first trip to the rodeo with RCI and we have a number of cruises with which to compare this trip. As stated in the title, we had fun on this cruise. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and had a good time. However, it seems that the ...

I actually had a wonderful cruise experience -so please don't take the title of the review in a derogatory manner. This was my seventh Royal Caribbean cruise, but the first without a healthy diverse age range for travelers. The mean age on this cruise was late fifties. I actually found this cruise to be much more peaceful and friendlier than other cruises I've been on (no young twenties drunkards, ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Vision of the Seas

We went on this ship in 2015 for a western caribbean cruise. This ship was devoid of all the bells-and whistles that you find on your typical Royal Caribbean ship. The buffet was subpar. The main dining room was ok. However, the staff on this ship was amazing! Everyone took part in entertaining the passengers, including Captain Merrick. The entertainment staff was great at getting the passengers ...

A very interesting and most enjoyable Transatlantic Cruise.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Vision of the Seas

This was our 8th TA with RCL/Celebrity and with the exception of what can only be described as the most diabolical Wi Wi system and very poor immigration arrangements in Tampa, my wife and I had a great cruise, if not quite, an exceptional one. As independent travellers we booked our own flights with BA from Edinburgh to Barcelona with an overnight stay in the Hotel Acta Mimic, which is very ...

I live by the adage any cruise is better than none and nothing beats a transatlantic. I cruise with my best friend on a 15 night transatlantic on Vision. Vision is an older ship and small. Our flight booked through ChoiceAir was great and we were met immediately after getting our bags by RCCL representatives. We did have a wait for the shuttle to ship but that was expected due to our early ...
