arriving at port and parking was so easy. Boarding was very very quick and barely no line or waiting arround. The food at the buffet was more limited than before.Main dining room menu was very small and limited. Previously the was always a chicken dish, steak and a vegetarian options are ok limited... But some days were better than others... The wait staff of mikhail and iwayan were Both very good ...
My husband and I recently cruised to Bermuda on the Vision of the Seas. It does not have all the bells and whistles, but the staff make up for it. Big shout out to the Windjammer waiters; Praveen, Jaypee, Raymart, Linton, and Rayan. Our Stateroom Attendant, Roviel, too. They are all attentive, hardworking, and provided excellent service. Fernando and Andre at Latte-tudes always got our ...
This was my 41st cruise and 13th on Royal Caribbean. I traveled with my husband and 2 adult daughters. We are from Long Island and Manhattan. This was the May 11th 9-night sailing to Bermuda, Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
I highly recommend this cruise! But you need to keep everything in perspective. Because while this ship lacks “things,” it more than makes up for it in “people” – ...
My wife and I enjoy the convince of the Port of Baltimore as well as the atmosphere of the smaller ships. The boarding process was quick and easy. Royal Caribbean changed our boarding time from 1030 to 1130 to allow more time to prep the ship. We booked a Junior Suite on the 8th deck near the rear of the ship. I would recommend that you don't book this room if noise bothers you. We thought by ...
Was the ship too small? The food not good enough? The service lacking? Entertainment not exciting?
Let's break it all down after a 9-day Bermuda, Nassau, and Perfect Day at CocoCay cruise aboard Vision of the Seas.
Starting with the ship overall - it was in fantastic shape for its age. Minimal signs of rusting, though we heard from folks with balcony cabins that the divider hinges had rusted ...
We have been on this ship many times and it was always our favorite Vision class ship. Much has been written about the cutbacks in service and quality and this proved to be the case on this cruise. The first day we decided after visiting the Windjammer buffet that we would take all of our dinners in the main dining room. We have not done this for years, usually alternating between the WJ and ...
We planned this cruise due to some of the ports we had not been to. Ports were great but really RC you need to retire this ship. If it takes a smaller ship to get into some of these ports then build a few of these small ships and then don't load them up to the gills with people. This ship was cramped, lines long and old. They didn't even have a soda machine to alleviate the lines at the bars. ...
My husband and I chose this 10 day cruise because of the ports. We had not been to several of them even though we have cruised the Caribbean about 50 times.
EMABRKATION: Very fast and efficient.
ROOM: You use to have access to your room by 1pm but we were told it would be 2pm----it was 3pm before we had access. RCCL only offers room cleaning once a day - morning or evening - which we ...
The Caribbean ports were all as expected. We arrived on time each day and the ship was quickly made ready for us to disembark.
The ship in general is old and tired. Some carpeting is badly in need of a change, especially by some of the rooms. Some hallways had sewage smell which detracted from the experience.
The ship is generally understaffed. Meal service was slow because the staff ...
Very disappointing cruise in so many ways. After 40+ cruises we have some idea of the norm one should expect and this was a huge letdown and should be an embarrassment for Royal Caribbean (RC). We put the blame on RC for the poor experience. It seems that they have cut back on staff and there were often no workers to help with things that were needed. Phone calls for assistance were not ...
