We enjoyed the variety of ports- history, Panama Canal, Cartagena, Costa Rica rainforest and Cozumel! Great ship and service Good food on board... only negative was QSine- tiny portions, waste of money- heard the original format was excellent! The Costa Maya port was not good.. village just for cruise ships- better to be 2 nights in Cartagena or different place. Dora De Explorer the best guide in Cartagena.. she is smart, warm and loves her city!! Let her show you Cartagena Roberto also an excellent tour guide in Panama The specialty restaurant that you should try is The Porch! Mediterranean fare so lots of Seafood- fresh and delicious.. lobster, shrimp, fish all very good Probably the best meal on our cruise and less $ than most other specialty restaurants.. of course, nice rooms.. clean shop and pretty Martini Bar super busy but fun as always Inc- house band were excellent Entertainment overall very good! First off this is our second cruise with Celebrity. We took this cruise for its literary and ports of  call Costa Rica, Colombia and Panama. Service was great. No complaints with food choices either. We ate in the buffet for lunch and each night in main dining. Crews worked hard to please very polite. Average age appear to be 70ish. Not hardly no young people, only saw four kids. Casio was active at night. At the buffet in the evening very few people ate there.  I would say that 90 percent of folks went to main dining. We had late dining at 8:30pm. Night shows Asylum ok was a musical. Illusionist was good, comedy shows excellent especially Al Ducharme. Celebrity has no bells an whistles, no water slides , no rope courses,  no bowling alleys. We been on two of their ships. Celebrity is pretty tame.  I would not recommend to family's with kids. Pretty dry atmosphere. Read Less

Our first time on Celebrity Reflection. We have been on Celebrity Eclipse (2013) Celebrity Equinox (2014, 2017 & 2018 with Captain Kate) Celebrity Summit (2016 with Captain Kate) Celebrity Silhouette (2017 & 2018) Embarkation in the new Ft. Lauderdale terminal - a total disaster. Arrived at 9:30 AM. Up escalator at 10 AM. In the first group of 50 passengers. Had our Sea pass by 10:25 AM. Computer glitch (something about Sea pass photos not loading properly) On past Celebrity cruises we were usually onboard by 11 - 11:30 AM. In the past when you received your Sea pass, we would get a number and groups would be called by those #'s. Not this time - they called by cabin class: Suites, Aqua etc. We waited & waited. At 12 noon still computer issues. We did not board until 2 PM. No water, juice or snack provided. Not good for older passengers or anyone with diabetes. Very poorly handled by Celebrity. Our 21 day back to back (B2B) cruise was great. Moses was our cabin steward - best we have ever had. We always get an oceanview cabin. Loved to start our day at Cafe al Bacio with a great cup of coffee. Opus dining room & OV buffet had varied menus. Entertainment was good, not as loud as in the past. Watched the Superbowl in main theater with wings, sliders & hot dogs. The best part of our cruise is always the staff! We even had an opportunity to talk for a few minutes with the Captain. If I had to list all of our favorite staff - it would be several paragraphs long. Did have an issue with CLA activities. Trivia games were won by a team of passengers doing a B2B, B2B, B2B (63 night total) - a bit unfair! The Sudoku challenges were so tough that twice no one finished in the given time limit. On past Celebrity cruises, you won tickets that could be redeemed for Celebrity bling (T shirts, cards, coffee mugs, beach towels, lanyard etc.) This time, often you were given a Celebrity X metal instead. I gave them back. One last note: we found out several cruises ago that the cabin stewards have 17 cabin to clean twice a day with no assistant. I don't know about you - but we don't change our towels and sheets every day. So, we would several times a week give Moses our cabin steward a morning or evening off. We still gave the standard gratuities & also a bonus for a job well done. I wish more passengers would consider doing that also! For disembarkation we did the self walk - off (carry all of your luggage off by yourself) we were off the ship by 7:15 AM and through security, grabbed a taxi to our Hampton hotel in Plantation, FL and were back in our car by 8:30 AM. I chose this ship and date to travel with five of my best friends. They had never been to any of the ports on the itinerary and since Imhad, I was the guide/planner. I had been on the Reflection on its innaugural transatlantic and again in November/Dec of last year. I chose this ship for several, reasons: The crew on this ship are some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. The food - outstanding and consistently good - and such a great selection every day. The cabins are large and roomy and the showers to die for. I knew they would love the ship as I do - and they did. We had a magnificent cruise and a grand time. It was like old home week when many of the staff actually remembered me from my Dec cruise. I got many hugs, and handshakes and hello Miss Barbara. It was really special, We had picture perfect weather, calm seas and it was the best cruise ever. Read Less

This was our fourth cruise. Our daughter got married on Royal Freedom, then we did Norwegian Epic to the Mediterainean, then Norwegian Sun to Alaska. We chose Celebrity this time because my sister told us Celebrity has the best food of all. We went with a group of 8 all between 63 and 75. We flew Westjet from Toronto to Ft. Lauderdale worry free and stayed in Ocean Beach Club hotel in the north end. Although it is a half hour north of the port, the hotel prices are cheaper than near the port. This hotel was fine and friendly staff. We didn't tour Ft. Lauderdale we just spent the night had a nice dinner in the hotel and grabbed a cab in the morning for the ship. We always arrive at the port city one day earlier than the cruise date in case of any bad weather or plane trouble from Toronto. (Lesson learned, it happened to us once where they couldn't get the cargo doors to latch and held us over 22 hours in Toronto because they had no other plane.) Once at the port the Celebrity embarkation was going smoothly until they announced their computer malfunctioned and everyone who already had their Seapass with photos had to have their photos retaken. This meant everyone in line had to wait while about 1000 people had to have photos retaken. Nobody could board the ship. Everyone got grumpy waiting and Celebrity kept saying they were sorry. It took about 2 hours extra standing in line while photos were retaken. There were no drinks or snacks offered to anyone during the wait. One thing about Celebrity I don't care for is they have a pecking order of select guests, who obviously pay more, for different classes of sailing. The Aqua class example. Celebrity also lets the preferred classes board first, and they even have their own restaurants and bars on board the ship for these preferred classes only. It really does make you feel less important if you're not paying for the higher classes. But we never felt dissapointed in the normal restaurants and bars, just so you know, some restaurants you can't use. Once the computers worked again embarkation sped up and we moved along fine. The ship is beautiful. Clean and well maintained what you can see. The staff are all very friendly and look you in the eye when they approach and say hello. Staff direct you to the 14th level Oceanview Cafe for food and also told us our rooms were ready now! We were in stateroom 8120. Starboard side (even numbers) with a verandah. About 8 rooms from the front of the ship. The up and down wasn't as bad as my wife thought but there was noticeable side to side rolling as the Caribbean sea seems rougher than the Atlantic. The room is a standard verandah stateroom like other ships we have sailed, with a 32" wall mount TV. The bathroom is all contained, i.e. The toilet, shower and sink are all in one room. If one is sitting on the toilet it is tight if another is at the sink as you are touching. Some ships have the sink outside the toilet area and that is a better set up for getting ready each day. You can check your Seapass account on the room TV but note you can also download an app onto your phone for Celebrity that also tells you current costs and gives you the daily itenary. We found this app very useful and you download before you go on the cruise. It's easy for Apple or Samsung phones. There were two 120V ac outlets at the desk. Lots of storage and wooden hangers. A mini bar in the fridge (expensive) two bathrobes and a hair dryer that works well. The towels are changed every time you seem to leave the room as our steward (Singh-India) was very keen and seemed to know when we came and went. Room service was used daily around 4pm for coffee and tea. It was quickly delivered. After 11pm they charge you $4.95 for delivery. The first 2 days of our cruise the guys all found the bartenders would drive you crazy with telling you to upgrade your drink package. Every time you got a drink they would give you the pitch. It became annoying. After the 3rd day they seemed to stop bothering you. Again some bars are specialty bars for certain class of passengers and unless you have the high end drink package you can't get in there. Generally bar service is very good. The Cafe Bacio on the 5th floor is excellent for coffee, lattes, expressos and cookies and cakes anytime of the day. There is a lounge there and it's great to sit at to hear music from the 4th floor. The Bacio is also beside a Gelato ice cream bar but there is a charge for it. I never saw anyone using it. The server just stood there all day. There are ice cream stations on the 14th floor Oceanview Cafe and the 15th floor an ice cream self serve machine. Smoking is only allowed on the port side 5th floor and 15th floor port/rear side. You'll get to know the regulars. We never used any specialty restaurants as we enjoyed the Opus Dining Room for dinners and some breakfasts, and the Oceanview Cafe for breakfasts and lunches. We ate around 6:30 pm each night at Opus on the 4th floor and were seated pretty much at the same table. Our server was Alexio -India and Paolo. Both men were excellent and very kind. We tipped them extra near the end. Most ship buffets change their menu slightly daily, ie, one day you will get sushi or a large variety of Chinese. This ship has a restaurant called "Sushi on 5ive" (extra charge) and I guess that's why our buffet never offered any sushi. The Celebrity Reflection has several restaurants just for upper crust passengers that we couldn't eat in anyway. Some people may think this is separation but we never felt left out. The Opus Dining Room menu changes daily with one night being lobster, two nights were prime rib. The Opus also has daily standards of fish, New York Strip steak and a chicken dish. All were delicious. Now I mentioned this before, we noticed the Celebrity passengers average age was 65. There are no water slides on this ship. The pool areas are crambed with lounge chairs and hand rails. Daily the 14th and 15th floors are filled with older people sleeping on loungers with a book across their chests. Nothing wrong with that if that's your thing. We didn't see more than 10 19-28 year olds. Only saw 2 children under 3. And many of the passengers seemed to have mobility issues ie leg problems. canes, wheelchairs, knee braces. Entertainment was OK. They have a house band, a duo, a singer/guitar player and a big band type combo. The various bands only play for about 45 minutes then stop. At night the house band plays in the Sky Lounge at the front of the ship but it rocks so much side to side my wife couldn't stay in there. We found by 10 pm the ship was very quiet everywhere. Again the age group is older and they seemed to disapear. There were a few nights where there is an Abba tribute and lots get up to sing along and dance. There was a 60's night and again the seniors are up and dancing. Lots of fun. We saw some shows, magician was great, juggler was amazing, Danny Smart guitarist doing Beatles/Elvis tribute, comedian was very funny and a cirque de sole type show. Great movie shown was Bohemian Rhapsody. We got off at all 5 ports of call. We never took any ship excursions. Most bars in town offer wi-fi but you must drink or eat for them to enter the password on your phone. And it is slow wi-fi. The Reflection has two floors with shops on it. We found the 4th floor has the lower grade stores, the 5th floor has the high end stores. My wife wanted a Michael Kors purse. One day near the end of the cruise this store has a sale. My wife asked the clerk if this purse would be on sale that day as currently, with the Cdn exchange rate, this purse cost the same as back in Canada. The clerk was honest and said that purse was a popular purse and it never goes on sale, the sale purses are red or yellow or outdated models. We went back on the sale night and they announced every bag in the store was on sale. They were. But my wifes model was not on display! Debarkation we carried our own luggage off and it was fast and easy. Overall the Celebrity Reflection is a fabulous ship in beautiful shape with good food and friendly staff. Lots to do on board if you want to. I wouldn't say the food was better than Royal C. Or Norwegian, but we are glad we tried it for ourselves. Read Less

We have sailed several times on the Reflection and her sister ships. Entertainment was excellent. Eddie Jenkins is fabulous as cruise director. He keep everyone entertained all day and evening. A charming man who made an effort to welcome everyone on a personal basis. Cabin stewards was excellent. We only took a shore excursion in Curaçao. It was ok without much to see. But we had been there many times. We prefer exploring on our own. Problem was with the dining. Food was cold. Sent it back once and then waiter served entire meal from soup to dessert in 30 min. He never came back to check other than to give the next course. I have food allergy. I told waiter but no one ever asked what it was. Dinner was a major disappointment. We had the drink package. Sommelier came by half way through our speed dinner. But then again we were served so quickly. Never got refill on wine. Really not his fault. The pizza at the buffet was always dried out. Not fresh. Minimal changes daily at buffet. Best food at Mast Grill and loved dessert at Coffee Bar. Comfortable chairs. Friendly service. We escaped the dining room for dessert at coffee bar. Better lattes than Starbucks!friendly quick service. There were 2 enrichment speakers. Dr Sam was very interesting. The second just put his outline on a screen and then read it to us. YES we should have complained to matre’d and moved to a better service area. But I don’t think I’ll be on Celebrity again so soon. Read Less

this cruise was chosen for its relaxed itinerary and hopefully good weather. It did not disappoint. Reflection lived up to its reputation being a modern sleek and fairly lively ship. Embarkation was in the new terminal created for the Edge, there were lines but we did not wait too long before we were checked in efficiently by the staff there, The terminal did not live up to the hype that some guest were suggesting but it was adequate, As usual after walking what seemed to be an age we eventually got on board the ship to be greeted by the friendly crew with a glass on sparkling wine, We were allowed to our cabins at approx 1:30 having visited the Ocean View whilst waiting. All the other public rooms and areas were available to use. The room was very clean and although the cabin steward was under pressure he was very welcoming. So for us this was a restfuli cruise having visited all the ports previously. Private tours were available at all the ports should you wish to take advantage of them. In Antigua we walked to the Cathedral and was pleasantly surprised they have nearly finished the renovations inside and it was beautiful. Please go take a look. Donations are more than welcome as it goes to the restoration fund. If you are a cricket fan, the old ground in St Johns is still open for you to take a look. If the groundsman is around he has lots of information and memories that he will share with you. Barbados we strolled into town, went over the bridge and sat at the harbour side for a lovely cool beer, watching the world go by and chatting to other cruisers. St Lucia, having been here several times and holidayed on the island we decided to stay in town. Been berthed on the town dock we took the water taxi to the other side, then enjoyed a quiet ship. Greneda, something of a tradition for us to walk through the tunnel to the old harbour. its good to see it being brought back to life. BB;s Crabback is a great place for a drink or food and to take advantage of the free wifi. It is on the waterfront so lovely to sit. Bit of a trend here as we had a couple of beers. Aruba We visited the Butterfly farm which is well worth it, saw lots that we would never get to see in the wild. They had 34 different species and of course I have hundreds of photos after waiting patiently to try to get a shot. Well worth the $16 each. Walked back to Eagle Beach, one of the worlds top 10, and you can see why. Caught the service bus back for $3 each, great ride. Curacao, went into town as we wanted a couple of items and as the bridge was opening, we had sit and wait having a beer. It was great to see this old bridge open to let a ship through and then close. Bonaire, Once we got there we realised we have actually never been here. So got a tour which took us around the North of the island. Our lovely lady driver tried to get us into the Cactus brewery but the guy on the door was having none of it, however she dropped us off around the corner and we walked back and hey ho we got let in. they told us all about brewing the cactus and got to try the spirit. It is GORGEOUS, very refreshing. We also saw Flamingos and even a baby one, makes a great photo. 2 sea days found us back in Fort Lauderdale. having a late flight 3rd time lucky on the ships excursions we went on the Everglades trip. We did see 2 wild alligators and a small selection of captive animals, these were formally pets and are now being looked after properly. Worth doing if you havent done this trip before, Reflections did not disappoint, staff very friendly, the venues - particularly the Sky Lounge were excellant. Great Celebrity vacation once again, Read Less

We went with 2 couples who have done this exact cruise many years in a row. We have only done 1 cruise prior to this and did not really enjoy it, however it was a Carnival down to Mexico. That cruise was a druken fest, everyone was smashed and rude. We booked this cruise thru a travel agent and felt comfortable with the price and amenities offered. We opted for the gratuities package and the drink package based on our friends suggestions. When we boarded the ship, we were pestered to upgrade our drink package and it was never ending, very bothersome. We loved our cabin, the best part of the entire cruise and our cabin attendant too. The first ports of call were the West Indies and very "third world". Antigua, Barbados, Genada and St. Lucia. We did not get a good vibe in any of them and felt unsafe for the most part. I would not return to any of them. The ABC Islands were great and no problem with the panhandlers or the pesky taxi drivers. The people here seem thankful for you and your business unlike the first ports. We had a good vibe and felt sad, would return and will but not by Cruise. More to follow on that. We had a number of "issues" on/off the ship. First, the first days at sea, everyone is milling about and seats were difficult to find. When we went down for cocktail hour, they had 1 waiter and 1 bartender for 50+ people. Everyone complained. After the third wight it good somewhat better. Second, we were stranded at a snorkel excursion for 1 1/2 hours waiting for pickup. They gave us an apology and a discount on another excursion only after all people on the excursion signed a petition and turn did in. Third, I went to book the next excursion and the desk had 15 people in line. I waited 45 minutes. Finally the Concierge came and apologized for the problem and told us they had an issue while in port that caused staffing problems?! I bailed out of line and went to Guest relations(no line) and 5 people working. Told the girl the problem and she booked my excursion in minutes. I asked why the Concierge was not bright enough to send some of the people here, she replied I don't know, he should have! I went back to the line and told everyone to go to Guest relations, they did! Lastly, we had a chemical incident outside our cabin. We were walking to our stateroom about 1 in the afternoon and smelled a very strong odor. Another couple also smelled it, it seemed to be within 10 rooms of ours but strongest at our room. I called the front desk and reported it, ask for an immediate update. Waited 10 minutes and nothing. Went down to the desk, a girl acted as if there was no call there. She called round and found out it was someone ordered to remove and clean stickers from the Fire Doors, using Paint thinner! I asked if they could stop, she said no. Told she would be done in about 20 minutes and the odor should be one in an hour. Went back to the room, now the girl is outside our room with a bottle of thinner, no gloves, no eye wear and no respirator. Using a rag to apply it. I asked her to stop because my eyes were watering and the fumes were affecting my breathing. Said she could not stop and suggested I leave the area. Got my wife and went to the pool for 2 hours. Returned and the odor was worse. Went back to the desk and asked for a Manager. He finally came out about 10 minutes later and apologized. Now he is offering to move us to the other end of the ship. He cannot give me any explanation of WHY it was so important to do this while people are on board! We went to dinner all the while left the sliding door open to our cabin. Came back to the cabin by 11pm, still there but a bit better. Slept in the room and awoke with headaches of course. I have reported this to corporate and they gave me a $200 on board credit for another Cruise, I think this is outrageous and will now report the incident to the Coast Guard and OSHA. Read Less

As we book our winter getaway in January we have learned from previous cruises that it's vital we choose an itinerary that goes down to the Southern Caribbean - the East/West itineraries in January may not be hot enough. This January 4th 2019 Reflection was perfect - the weather was hot starting in Fort Lauderdale and continued for every island. Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was easy - we were in Terminal #25 that is the new Celebrity terminal. We like this itinerary as it lets you relax immediately once you board with 2 sea days, then 5 ports, then a sea day, then 3 ports (Aruba Bonaire Curacao) and 2 days at sea to relax for the journey home. Celebrity is our favourite cruise line and Reflection is my favourite ship in the fleet. Celebrity provides a level of "modern luxury" that can't be matched with other cruise lines while still providing the casual atmosphere of cruising (not the country club feel of luxury lines). The entertainment on Celebrity has increased dramatically the past 2 years which makes me happy. The crew from the Captain on down to every person cleaning were amazing - always friendly, always professional and always willing to fix any issues. We always choose Celebrity Select Dinning and we make reservations in advance - we were a group of 6 so this was necessary. We arrived @ 6:30 and our table for 6 was always ready for us. Some may want more flexibility - not knowing what time they will eat everyday but that flexibility may mean you wait in line. All the food was amazing including Oceanview, MDR, Tuscan, Murano and our new favourite Lawn Grill. The food was great in Le Petit Chef but I wasn't a fan of the 3D concept - it doesn't enable tablemates to talk (must be quiet) and I felt pushed out at the end with the "goodbye" animation. This was a great cruise. I strongly recommend any 14-night itinerary - I wish Celebrity would offer more 14-night cruises. Read Less

We were in Sky Suite 2119, a very nice sized suite on the 12th deck, forward on the port side, with a larger balcony, just a few doorways from the spa, so quiet. Jo, our butler, was very responsive and helpful. Brought us lovely canapés when we requested them, and served us a lovely dinner in our suite. Raj, our suite attendant always provided a clean room and extra towels as needed, with a smile. Luminae - The Food... Amuse bouche were occasionally kind of boring (goat cheese stuffed in a large puff pastry cracker?), but would then surprise (a deviled egg with salmon caviar). Lean into the caviar, perhaps with some fresh potato crisps and sour cream? The octopus starter was EXCELLENT! Lobster salad had an odor, so I avoided it; the waiter offered me shrimp cocktail instead, and although small, the shrimp were good. Pepper tuna was a tad too peppery. Venison was overdone, and as a result, slightly dry. Had Opus grilled chicken breast one night with mashed potatoes and veggies - good comfort food, but the broccolini tasted fishy. The rack of pork was sliced, so not REALLY a rack. French onion soup was bland and oily, but escargot were quite good. The buttered lobster with champagne sauce was excellent, and my husband loved the duck as well. :) The chocolate sphere dessert was entertaining AND fabulously delicious! Zouihair, the maitre d’ was attentive and very helpful, and clearly a good leader, as his team were well trained. Sanjeev was a very good waiter always quick with a funny comment to make us laugh. Allan was a PHENOMENAL sommelier and suggested excellent pairings within the wine package we selected; the Beringers Founders Estate Cabernet, Sincerely Malbec, and the Robert Mondavi Napa Merlot we’re right in our “sweet spot”, bold, chewy, and dry. One night my husband selected a Malbec that was quite nice. Allan approved. ;) Murano was excellent, start to finish, with the mild exception of the lamb being slightly undercooked. Zac was an excellent waiter and the gran marnier soufflé was FABULOUS. Blu was good as well, just not our thing. Michael’s Club, part of our suite experience, was a great getaway. Riz, one of the staff, was an excellent bartender (great lemon drops!) and Alex and Alessandra were AWESOME concierges, getting us into the restaurants we wanted. Canyon Ranch Spa - Elizabeth’s manicure was perfectly done. My husband said my nails have never looked so good! Wakasa, who studied massage in Japan for 10 years, was my masseuse. Her hot stone massage was the best that I have EVER had and I’ve had PLENTY. On the whole, this was one of our better cruises, with great excursions (snorkeling in Bonaire!), good internet (paid, but shared), and good island locations (Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire). The shows were ok, but not the BEST that we’ve seen. One comic (Rich Aronovich) was quite funny, and the local cast (singers, dancers, musicians) were quite talented. The App to determine activities and scheduled appointments is EXCELLENT, but needs to integrate with the spa. Read Less
