Both Embarkation and Debarkation went extremely smooth. As a Platinum member we were able to embark even earlier than we normally do... without a hitch! I was a little disappointed that there were no Carnival 'post' tours because there is NO luggage storage available at the Orlando MCO Airport (or nearby) and our flight didn't leave until 4:30pm so we rented a car at the MCO Airport for $45 ...
We (my wife and I) were on the Magic cruise from Nov. 25th- Dec 3rd. This is a no frills, cruise line. Let me say we have been on many, many cruises and I have never had the need to complain to guest services about a cruise like this one. The guest services rep did not even try to understand or accept the constructive feedback we gave. They just quoted policy and lacked any understanding of our ...
My wife and i cruise every thanksgiving. we chose this one for time and for port. we had sailed on the magic earlier in the year (october) and really enjoyed it, some coming back was pretty cool. the cruise director was very good entertainer, if not a bit impressed wit himself. the service staff was fantastic as always! the down points were the long lines for mangolian wok and debarkation was ...
Thank you to Cruise Critic for responding me to since Carnival has NO intention of addressing our serious issues we obtain on our First and ONLY Cruise we will EVER take.
I am going to copy and past what I posted to Carnival's facebook page. I have also notified our travel agent who is helping to assist us.
Of greatest concern was we were told we could NOT invoke the 24 hour guarantee or ...
just don't know how or where to start my family and I had never experienced a cruise as horrible as this one, I called and talked to a supervisor just yesterday and also spoke to two other people this is just how horrible I think carnival is when I spoke to the first person and told her I would like to speak to a supervisor I was told there was no such person then after we hung up I called back ...
As a frequent traveler with Carnival - we found this ship as providing the lowest standard of room and dining service we have ever received. The staff appeared to be over extended. Our dinner took more than an hour - after ordering - to receive, for three of the five days. Our room service was basic - on scale of an economy hotel - bed spread and fresh towels only. The carpet on the floors ...
I was reluctant to book a Thanksgiving cruise but it was my boyfriend's 35th birthday and I wanted to surprise him with something memorable. Both embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Let's jump right in:
The Ship:
The Carnival Magic was a lovely ship! Even though it was pretty big, it was fairly easy to navigate. The ship has two pools, which weren't that big at all. Also it had two ...
This was a family cruise. The ship was great for kids and young adults. It was a Thanksgiving cruise so there were many large family groups. There were lines for everything! We waited 30 to 45 min for every buffet. My advice....seek the formal dining room whenever you can....that was decent. There is pizza all the time but you always have to wait at least 30 minutes for the pies to come out ...
Food
A. To many people to serve at one time at buffets.
B. Disappointed because Guy's famous Bar-B- Que was only opened for one day of the entire 5 days and for 2 and a half hours at that. Never did get to sample his wonderful prepared pork we had heard about. His hamburgers were the best I have ever tasted in my life. Loved his fries also.
C. We had anytime dining. We have chose this ...
We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary - we had never been to Turks & Caicos so we were excited about this port. We sailed Carnival because we are Platinum members and certainly enjoy the perks that status provides.
PRE-CRUISE:
We drove down from the the metro Atlanta area and stayed two days at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. We spent one day at the Kennedy Space Center and ...
