An overnight in Cabo aboard the Ruby

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Ruby Princess

We chose the Ruby Princess due to the date, sailing from LA, and going to Cabo. I also wanted to try a Princess Cruise as I had not previously sailed with them. We had a balcony room and the room itself was average, but with a slightly larger balcony. We would have enjoyed the balcony more had the weather cooperated, but I can't fault Mother Nature. The bed, on the other hand, was the worst ...

This was our 17th cruise and our second Princess cruise. Our last Princess Cruise was also on the Ruby. It was nice enough that we booked this cruise to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. We traveled with a group of 10. While in port we went walked around Santa Barbara and went to the zoo. We made advanced reservations every evening for our entire group at the anytime dining room. The ...

I chose this cruise based on a special sale price from Princess I got sent. I had already been to the Mexican Riviera the month before on Norwegian Cruise Line. I have always wanted to try Princess cruises out. I thought the boat was fantastic. I really enjoyed the food. Out of all of my cruises the food was the best. I thought they could have used more hand sanitizer stations around the theater, ...

Ship is old. Cabin was roomy but we had to go in and clean the entire cabin. And this cruise line is suppose to be luxury? LOL it is worst than Carnival. They don't make the towel animals. They make you wait a very long time to get your luggage. The food was eh. Entertainment shows were good. Lots of Trivia to much in fact. Port was so boring. We went off the ship for 45 mins there was ...

I had decided to take my 6-yr old granddaughter on this 5-nt cruise with one overnight in Cabo. My 85 yr old mom also came along. My mom and I have both been on many cruises but never had the opportunity of using the kids program. I did the online registration. So once onboard, we attended the open house and then handed my granddaughter over to the safe hands of the Princess Pelicans staff. And ...

This was our eighth Princess cruise and the first 5 day overnight in Cabo cruise. It had been a few years since our last cruise and second on the Ruby, so it was interesting to see what had changed. It was super fast getting on board in LA. We arrived on before our cabin was ready, so we headed to the main dining room for lunch. No crowds up there so we sat down and avoided the buffet. ...

Our friends with Elite status like to have us travel with them so we worked out that this would be a nice one. It was. We had smooth embarkation, glass-like sea on the way down, a fun but slightly damp jaunt around Cabo San Lucas, and generally an awesome cruise for our third cruise overall. We are from northern San Diego County, about 100 minutes from San Pedro without traffic. Our friends are ...

We chose this cruise because it is convenient to fly to LAX and catch a ride to the ship and vice versa. it gives us a chance to escape the cold, wet winter in Seattle and get some sun. This is the third time we have taken this cruise, each time on a different ship (Golden and Sapphire before taking the Ruby). Embarkation at San Pedro was excellent, no complaints at all. We arrived at 11, ...

OVERALL This was our 4th cruise on Princess. There were hits & misses. We have also cruised on Norwegian & Royal Caribbean. HIT: Even though the ship is due for a refurbishment in dry dock fairly soon, I was pleasantly surprised by its condition. Sure, there were a few nicks in the statement (desk chair, coffee table). Public areas were very well maintained. I especially enjoyed the ...
