As with all RC ships, it's in great shape and they keep it very clean. The majority of staff are ultra friendly and welcoming. The indoor promenade is something I really like about this class of ship, and this one did not disappoint. It has an indoor shopping mall feel that for some reason I really like.
It's a big ship, but it's not so big that that you cringe at the thought of having to walk ...
I had never been on a RC cruise prior to this one and will never cruise with them again. The layout of the ship, it's pretty much impossible to find a comfy QUIET spot that is peaceful without hoards of people constantly walking by. The adult only section is smack in the middle of the boat that you have to pass through if trying to get anywhere. It is not relaxing and quiet unless you remain on ...
I recently took the ship’s September 25 four night sailing from Port Canaveral to Nassau and Perfect Day at Coco Cay. Overall, I had a nice time, but there were some challenges.
First the good.
Without doubt, Royal Caribbean’s biggest asset is its crew. With the exception of my room attendant (more on that later), every one of the staff was courteous, accommodating and couldn’t do enough to ...
This ship is so much fun! from the activities and amenities this ship has to offer is wonderful. The ice-skating show is the best ice-skating show across the fleet. The ice skaters are amazing, the theme of the show, selection of music, perfection! The laser tag is so much fun and great for people of all ages.
The Sorrento's pizza on this ship for some reason is so delicious I think it's the ...
We have cruised Royal Caribbean 7 times and love it. However, the show Grease was a big disappointment. It began with one of the actors humping the leg of another. Then later in the show, Danny comes out wearing a sweat suit. He turned to the audience and it looked like he had a huge erection. Some people laughed and he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. We thought it was Very inappropriate for ...
The Royal Caribbean staff were mostly great. Some of them didn’t know very much. Maybe the were new hires.
It was hard to find out what to expect or how to plan for this cruise from the Royal Caribbean website. Especially what you need purchase for food. My wife and I knew absolutely nothing about being on a cruise ship and learned as we went along.
We bought a Key Membership. I recommend ...
Overall enjoyed 3 days on the cruise. Ship by name independence of the sea was like a mini town by itself. Om the ship everything was available. Very nice cruise, good rooms, good restaurants, good food. Good facilities, Overall enjoyed the cruise trip.
Enjoyed the show on ice skating, musical show , very courteous service staff and passenger service staff. Easy embarkation, easy check out, ...
Horrible value, will never go on RC again. Spend more elsewhere for a better experience.
Dining was horrible, somehow dining room food was worse than buffet. Food was poor quality and not well cooked. By the second day no one went to the dining room anymore. Such a beautiful dining venue, yet such disappointing food. Not one food item on the cruise that was good. Buffet hours are way too short. ...
We reached Platinum status with RCL on this cruise, so we have some past experience with the line.
The cabin was very dated. Our cabin steward had it nice and tidy for us, but you could tell it was well worn around the edges and at the very least needs a deep cleaning. The bed was very comfy, and the balcony had nice room, compared to our next cruise on Sky Princess, however the plexiglass ...
I had a decent time because I was with good friends. The food was terrible (buffet) all fried foods and low quality. Even the nights for the “formal dinning” was nothing more than the buffet food served on a nice plate with waiters. We decided to make reservations and pay extra for good food. That was a huge disappointment. I ordered lobster and it came out with a white sauce smothered all over ...
