We have sailed on Azamara before, so its clear that they offer a product that we value. 1/ An example of their service: at embarkation in Istanbul it was raining. Evaluating the next day's forecast, Captain Magnus decided, I'm certain with headquarters' approval, to switch the first 2 ports so as to maximize our chance of good weather. This tactic worked perfectly, although I'm positive it ...

This was my third and last cruise (12 Night Best of the Holy Land) aboard the Journey. The ship is in desperate need of a serious makeover not just refreshing cosmetics. The staff was as friendly as ever. The quality and choices of food one expects from a cruise line that aspires to luxury branding was lacking. Even visits to the specialty restaurants fell short. Tour guides did not seem to be ...

We went on Holly Lands cruise Athens -> Istanbul, with Israel, Turkey and Greece ports. Azamara managed to completely ruin Israel, Phahos Greece) and Kas (Turkey) because all 3 days in Israel were a holiday and Shabbat: Thursday through Saturday. Why Azamara named this cruise Holly Lands (the main attraction of this cruise) just to schedule Israel on a holiday and Shabbat when everything ...

Ship much older than one would think. Interior tries to intimidate the luxury of by gone days. 1). RECEPTION Check in at port excellent and quick. At reception it stated that the ship was full and no cabins were available to be changed. This was totally untrue. Upon reaching our cabin which was to be shared by two ladies we found it to be extremely small and dark and in no way suitable ...

Out of 35 previous cruises this was the worst .RCCL should be ashamed . The crew of the Ship tried their hardest but couldn't overcome the fact that this ship was not ready to sail as a luxury cruise . it was just out of drydock and it wasn't finished . our problem started with the booking . we weren't told about the refurbishment till much later . i was given a specific stateroom and told ...

Embarkation in Piraeus was easy. As our taxi pulled up to the cruise terminal in Piraeus, an Azamara rep with a clipboard greeted us and two uniformed attendants relieved us of our luggage. In short order, we handing our passports and paperwork to a cheerful and chatty gate agent. Absent any signs of norovirus or ebola, she photographed us, gave us our key cards, and pointed us toward the ...

THE SHIP We picked a 9 port-intensive itinerary for a 9 day cruise: Athens RT, Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes, & Santorini in Greece, with Bodrum, Kas, Fethiye, and Marmaris along Turkey's Turquoise coast. Because we enjoyed the ship's activities, food, and entertainment so much, I would definitely look for a voyage with some sea days! It is great the ship is almost entirely no smoking, reserving ...

Azamara Journey Thursday September 10 Up at 03.30 am and left the house at just gone 04.30 am, and there was a surprising amount of traffic particularly lorries on the M6, but we still got to Manchester airport by 05.05 am. The drop off point has now changed and we had to walk along the concourse inside the terminal into the lift, downstairs, walk out of the building and back in to the Jet 2 ...
