This 9 night cruise has me very torn…first off, I’m still on the ship. We return tomorrow and I’m kind of cruised out. We had a great time but there are a few things that weren’t as expected. First off, this is my 5th RC cruise. My expectations were high as I’ve had such wonderful experiences on my past cruises. Getting on the ship in Bayonne was perfect. We arrived at the port at 10 am. ...
We were part of a group that selected this ship, and we knew it was an older ship refurbished once years ago. We were on deck 6 and I usually select deck 8 and higher so expecting alot of noise from Promenade on Deck 5. Onboarding in Bayonne very quick and Windjammer crowded but we always got a table for breakfast or lunch. Our room w balcony large, clean and bed comfortable. Sheets looked ...
This was my first cruise since 2019, and my 13th overall. While I was used to the newer ships in the fleet, most prominently, Anthem of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas has a good amount of the amenities and activities that Anthem had. Unlike the rest of my cruises, this was the first one I went on without my parents and above the drinking age. I went with a group of my friends from high school as a ...
This ship hasn't been renovated since it was launched in 2009 and it really shows. A cruise ship is a floating hotel. This is like a cheap roadside motel. One that is insanely crowded so you wait in line for everything. Every detail is wrong from the thin, stained towels to the table cloths in the main dining room, also covered in stains. We got to the show 30 minutes early and were turned away ...
I chose this cruise line because it was based out of New Jersey, price was reasonable and we sailed to Bermuda. Well for starters, for the food at the WynnJammer was buffet style 4 out of 10. The dinner was ok, and that was only due to the Optimal service from Ruel and Jeanese. Next. The cabin, bed was as hard as an ironing board(cot), towels stained and the carpets in and out of the rooms ...
Our cruise took us to Bermuda leaving from Cape Liberty, NJ. Getting on the ship was a smooth organized process. The Windjammer was so busy, all the time and probably had only a 25% ratio to accommodate the passengers. We opted the first and second days while at sea for lunch at Chops which was very good and the service was great! Once we got to our room I was definitely disappointed in our ...
Went on the 9 day Eastern Caribean cruise to Bermuda, Labadee, La Romana and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. While the cruise was nice and we had good weather, there lacks the specialness of pre-pandemic cruising. Still had a good time but things could be better.
Pluses:
We had a balcony which is always the best way to go if you can afford it
Crew was always friendly with a ...
I was very unhappy with this cruise ship the moment I stepped on the ship. The ship is outdated. The carpet is very old and the towels and sheets are stained. When I notify the gentlemen that was taking care of my cabin, he stated that they was having trouble with their washing machine, On the first day I order the same cocktail 3 times. Each time I order the cocktail, I was charged a different ...
Since I usually cruise in off-peak season, inlcluding a similar RC cruise just 2 months ago, it was easy for me to see how every aspect of the cruise was affected by the Spring Break passenger base - loads of college kids and families with children. I imagine these effects would be reduced on longer sailings, so I'll definitely keep that in mind next year.
Cabin was clean and in good repair, ...
We chose this particular cruise mainly because everyone in our group of 8 was able to get the time off to go. Our reason for going was for an early celebration of our dad's upcoming 90th birthday. Our group consisted of my wife and I, my brother, my dad, my youngest son and his wife and my daughter and her husband. Oldest in the group was 89; youngest was 33. Three of us have cruised on ...
