We just returned from our 7 night cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica, yesterday. Our 8th floor balcony room was perfect. We were close to the aft elevators, which is important since the elevators are very busy. Our state room attendant, Rafael, was very helpful when the ship misplaced my luggage on the first night. I was getting very upset and nervous, but my luggage was ...
We chose this because the port was close enough that our daughter and son-in-law could drive to the port. It was our first time on RCI and our first time out of Galveston.
Parking and embarkation was very easy. Got there early and had to wait awhile but overall it wasn't bad.
I really liked the Promenade but later found out that it wipes out midship elevators which made the existing ...
1st time on Liberty, was on the Navigator January 2016, almost felt like the same ship. Getting around the ship was easy, we really enjoy the layout of the ship.
Embarkation was a breeze since we were suite holders and we showed up around 2pm, after the initial crowd and before the last set of airline shuttles.
Disembarkation was a totally different experience than we'd ever had on any ...
Have cruised on RCCL for many years and this is the worst cruise ever. In a sense of fairness I will go thru best and worst of cruise.
Good:
1) Location- I was on ship and off within two hours of leaving my house
2) Beautiful weather on the week of 22 Jan. Other than last day every day was a pool day
3) Room around the poll was more than adequate and the ship appeared to be in good ...
I have been ill for nearly two years and am finally recovered enough to travel. Have enjoyed cruises in the past and have always wanted to see the Western Caribbean. My sister has done a couple of 3 night cruises so this was her first week long sailing.
The first two days at sea were awesome. So nice not to have to rush right into a relaxing vacation. We had massages at the spa our first ...
About us: early to mid 40's couple, no kids. I've done 3 cruises with Carnival out of Galveston (Conquest, Magic, Freedom). My wife has been on 2 of those (Magic & Freedom).
Pre-cruise: We spent the night at the Country Inn & Suites on the Seawall. We have stayed there several times over the years; we live in suburban Houston and it's kind of our go-to hotel on the island because it's walking ...
Noticed several cutbacks from previous cruises. The dining wait staff is very short staffed. The days of your waiter remembering your name or preferences are gone. The average time receiving food after placing our order was 45 minutes. When our food was received, we were unable to find our waiter to ask for anything. After receiving baked potatoes, we waited 10 minutes to ask for sour cream two ...
The ship was nice but the entertainment was lacking. The headliner shows weren't very good, the activities weren't varied and the daily schedule of activities was weird with big gaps in some places. Many activities such as bingo, karaoke and trivia needed to be in venues better suited to the crowd and event. The water slides, flow rider, and rock wall were frequently closed. I think the cruise ...
This was the third time we have been on the Liberty of the Seas. One of the cleanest and friendliest ships we have been on. There is just a few things that I can think of that could be improved on. One is on other ships we have been on the Captain would come on every morning at 8:00 and tell us the weather what the plans for the day were and wish us good day. Also you can not get the ...
They nickle and dime you to death. We had to purchase a drink card just for soda and coffee (didn't want any specialty coffee). It cost $428 for 2 people. Ridiculous. If you don't gamble or like to sit in a bar, there is nothing to do. The shopping was terrible and the stores are only open at certain times. Pools are small. We also travel and go to a lot of casinos. This was the worst casino ...
