I am a tour leader for a social club in Sun City TEXAS and took 54 of our members on this cruise. Everyone liked it but complained about the casino being 100% smoking. It was only 1/2 smoking in December.

Embarkation was a cluster due to fog delay. The Galveston Port was not ready for the amount of guests arriving all at once.
I stayed in an inside cabin on the 8th floor which I had never done before and it was great.

The boat is very nice. Everything is nicely decorated, except - oddly enough - the cabin corridors. While we prefer Carnival overall, this is a nicer boat. The highlights include the shows and entertainment - definitely a step above Carnival - the activities, and the smooth sailing. We chose this cruise to sail from a different port. Boarding was a complete debacle. The ship wasn't able to dock on time due to fog however we ended up standing in line for 3 hours to board. The venue was what I was looking for plus it sailed out of Galveston which is about 1 1/2 hour from my home town.
Embarkment: Easy and fast.
Cabin: the cabin was average. Shower had plenty of hot water. The stopper in the sink needed fixing but I didn't call maintenance.

Easy cruising from from Galveston. Embarkation was quick. and we were on board and Our cabin was ready on time at 1 pm. Our luggage arrived midafternoon.

We took the same cruise last August but we were re-routed because of hurricane Earl. We didn't make Roatan or Belize.

2/5 through 2/12/17 on the RCCL Liberty of the Seas. Balcony Cabin on the 6th deck. The ship was fine. The Royal promenade was nice, but there was no WOW factor. Nothing that stood out as excellent.
