arrival organisation was a nightmare after a long flight into Houston the rep was pretty useless had no idea who she was supposed to be meeting and only had 8 seater mini bus to transport people to the hotel, very poor, however getting onboard was much quicker and smoothly done.
First port of call was Montego Bay - would recommend organised tour there, we loved Dunn's River falls, great ...
This was our sixth cruise and my parents first. We took our two children, ages 5 and 7 as well.
We drove from the Dallas area and my parents drove from San Antonio. We all stayed at the Best Western Suites close to the port since they offer free breakfast and parking. The hotel was ok, but I did see moldy spots in the bathroom, very poor construction/repair work done around the hotel that ...
This was my first cruise and my husband's first as an adult. We enjoyed it very much. It was very low stress and relaxing. We plan to do more cruising the the future.
Ship: The ship was clean, well maintained, and nicely appointed. While each bar had its own vibe and decor, the three dining rooms were all very much the same. Once I was in a dining room, I couldn't tell which one I was ...
We are experienced cruisers, but this is the first time we have ever cruised with Princess. 29 members of our extended family joined us over Spring Break to help celebrate our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The staff was very helpful in making the celebration -- and the entire week -- special.
The food in the Palms dining room was very good -- in fact, the best lobster I've ever eaten. ...
We wanted to go on a long cruise after doing many7 day cruises. ( Saint Marten, Saint Thomas, Bonaire, that area) Food was good, service was good ,everything was better than expected. Ship and cabin was beautiful. We traveled with friends. Getting on and off the ship easy.
My only suggestion for Princess is to stop gouging customers for WiFi. I understand the profit margin need and you ...
This was my first Princess cruise. Compared to my other cruises all on Carnival I rated this one average. I was surprised at how much ship movement I could feel, bouncing from wall to wall on occasion. The staff was overall very helpful and pleasant. It was disappointing that the public area bathrooms often did not work (only 1 stall for women outside of the theater-really?) The food was ok, ...
We cruised on the Emerald Princess and This was our 2nd cruise. Our 1st one was 30 years earlier with another cruise line We traveled with 2 other couples. One of the couples cruised with Princess many time before. Because of that we were able to board early and smoothly. We got a balcony this time which was amazing. Woke up early to see the sunrise every morning and it was great to just sit out ...
This was my 5th cruise, but my first cruise with Princess. I have sailed with Disney and with Carnival for my other cruises. I absolutely love cruising and being out on the ocean, and try to look at the brighter side of things when things happen because I believe it's what you make it. This cruise tested me and my attitude, that's for sure.
I took my niece for this cruise, this is her 3rd ...
First, a caveat. I assume a lot of people like Princess. After two cruises, we do not. We are Celebrity Elite status cruisers and find Princess no match for Celebrity. So, maybe my comments will help others who are not sure what line to go with, to make a decision based on this information.
Getting on and off were fine. The food was good, except I felt the beef items from hamburgers to steaks ...
First of all we have 9 cruises with Carnival and was very excited about going on a b2b on Princess. So, many of our comparisons were based on our experiences with Carnival. We have always gotten a balcony cabin so booked sidexside with our Canadian friends, who have never cruised before. We are in our middle 60's.
Embarkation and parking was so smooth at the Houston Bayport Terminal. Too bad ...
