After 3 nights in the Grand Pacific le Daiba Tokyo sheer luxury We transferred to our cruise ship with no hitch on arrival we had to fill in embarkation forms oh boy! that's when the fun starts hustle and bustle push and shove. What's the problem you all have your cabins allocated . After a while we got on board and elected to speak to the purser with our little problem out of the way off to our ...

We are a middle aged couple who love cruising and believe a day at sea is better than working. It's a long time since we last cruised with Princess as we usually sail with Celebrity. However we thoroughly enjoyed this trip After arriving in Haneda airport we waited for our transfer to the ship and were able to drop our luggage off at the port which left us time to explore around Yokohama. ...

We were booked on a 27 day Japan Grand Adventure, unfortunately cut short by 2 typhoons. (We were aware of September and October being typhoon season when we booked the cruise, and we notice that Princess does not have cruises in Japan at this time in 2015.) More on this later. The cruise was actually 3 back to back 9 day cruises, each starting and ending in Yokohama. The first 9 days traveled ...

9 Day Kyushu & Onsens September 9 2014

We generally enjoyed this cruise and it appears that Princess has solved some of the problems and issues that were reported by previous reviewers. The 2015 itinerary for Yokohama departures has changed considerably and the ship will no longer visit Beppu and Jeju. Therefore I will not discuss these ports. We did find that a 2600 passenger ship was too large for our tastes. There were too many ...

My wife and I stayed on board for 2 cruises; these were our 14th and 15th cruises, our 4th and 5th cruises with Princess, but the first two on Diamond Princess. The Ship It was very clean and had a relaxed atmosphere, 1,600 passengers on the first cruise and 2,600 on the second cruise, on the second cruise most of the passengers appeared to be Japanese. The Crew Appeared to be very well ...

When booking this reservation, 11 months before sailing, I was asked if I would like to be put on a list for a possible upgrade. I said yes. I am a platinum member and therefore assumed the cruise line might be able to do something for me. The nearer my departure came, about 2 weeks out, I called and asked if an upgrade might be possible. I called again a week out, then just a few days out. I kept ...

We are a family of four (Mom and Dad and two teenagers). We had wanted to visit Japan together as a family for some time. After researching various options for touring around Japan, this cruise seemed to be the best fit for us. Having done a number of cruises with Princess (we are platinum level cruisers), we knew that we all liked cruising with Princess, and that touring by cruise ship would ...

First time cruiser on Princess!

We have cruised on many ships mostly in 700-900 range, so perhaps it is not fair for comparison with ship of this size? But I think objective comparison can be made in major areas. We boarded this ship in Yokohama with two 9 day cruise itineraries back to back, first segment covering the northern Island of Hokkaido, then western region of Japan in Sea of Japan. We elected to sail on Princess due ...

There were 10 people in our party. Ages 6,9,41,54,55,57,60,80 & 83. This was the first cruise for my two sisters and brother in law. My parents estimate that they have been on 25 cruises and my wife, 2 kids and I have been on 8. We had 3 balcony state rooms, 1 Ocean view and 1 interior. We sailed aboard the Diamond Princess on a 9 day Japan cruise embarking out of Yokohama. We have sailed on ...

27 Day Japan based itinerary 5/20/14 The Diamond Princess has just come out of a refurb to not only update its interior but to add many Japanese oriented features. Our cruise although listed as a 27 dayer, was actually three 9 day cruises done back to back. About 500 hundred passengers joined us on this complete itinerary while others were on for 1 or 2 of the legs. After reading some the ...
