This was our first time on a cruise. We ended up being a group of 40 to attend a wedding at sea. Reservations were handled by the travel agent. In preparation for the adventure, reviews were read for both the Legend and whatever excursion that we might want to book.
Itinerary: Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, Grand Caymen, Cruise Apr 29-May 6
Embarkation: Painless. We arrived the day before, stayed ...
We boarded the Carnival Legend in Tampa on April 15 for a seven day western caribbean cruise. Check in/boarding went great. We left port and spent the next full day at sea.
We booked all our excursions through Carnival.
Our first port of call was Cozumel Mexico. We booked the "Amazing Cozumel Race" excursion. We got to see a lot of the city of Cozumel during this and interacted with many of ...
This was our second cruise on a Spirit class ship. Even without the Seaside theater, and second deck Lido seating, I find this class ship to be very nice.
Embarkation was simple and quick, being we booked our first (Vista) suite. We were on the lido well before 12:00 PM, eating our lunch before the main crowds of passengers arrived, which was much less frustrating, not having to wait in a long ...
Began on 4/8 in Tampa. Check-in went smooth. Afterwards, has lunch on Lido deck 9 while waiting for the ship to set sail. Our room was ready by about 1:30, we thought that was pretty quick, so we went to see what the rooms looked like. My husband and I shared a balcony room, while we put our two daughters (12 & 16) right across the hall in an interior room. Much more peace that way.
This is ...
Left out of Tampa on 4/8/12. Check in process went without a hitch. I brought two bottles of wine (one per adult), but might have been able to bring more as no one checked our carry on luggage (it was x-rayed).
Got on board and food was being served on Deck 9. All of our breakfasts and lunches were eaten on deck 9 at the Unicorn buffet stations. These had good choices and the food was ...
Departed on the April 08 sailing of the Carnival Legend out of Tampa to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize and Cayman. Sailed with my son, my wife and mother-in-law. Worked in a wonderful surprise by bringing along my sister-in-law and her 3 kids, unbeknownst to my wife and son! The surprise worked perfectly so you'll excuse our noise on deck 9, around 230pm, at the back of the ship on sailaway day. ...
I was a first time cruiser, but I have been around the industry for a while as my husband has worked on many cruise lines.
Embarkation at Tampa is complicated and drawn out, but all the staff portside were helpful and it was very clear where you had to go next, which queue to get in etc, as a Non US Citizen I was expecting hold ups but the process went smoothly and simply. Took me about 15 ...
We just returned from another wonderful Carnival cruise. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 7 and 9 on this trip.
Embarkation- easy enough. From past experience, we decided to eat lunch first at Channelside and then board a bit later. This allowed us to skip the hectic Lido scene upon embarkation. We also only had to wait 20 minutes to get our room. The line to board was a bit long, ...
First time I've written a review here..so bear with me. We've been on several cruises and I have to say, this was the worst one! There were 6 of us, (3 couples) and one of the girls had never cruised before.
Checking in was fairly quick, then we had to wait for 2 hours to board. We were told it was because of the time change, that most passengers did not set their watches or alarms forward ...
I was a first time cruiser, so I was open to about everything on this cruise! I had poured over the message boards, researched every excursion to the nth degree and felt like I had a pretty good handle on what to expect. My sister was treating me to this cruise for my 5oth birthday :)It was her and I...no husbands or kids. I know...it was awesome.
We arrived the night before in Tampa - stayed at ...
