The ship itself is quite pretty for an older vessel. The Renaissance artwork was quite tasteful, although there were several little kids including mine that mentioned the statue of Michelangelo's David every time they were in the elevators near the statue. The elevators themselves were quick and efficient. We had a balcony stateroom which was a nice size.
The pool decks when wet are incredibly ...
Hi - Fairly experienced cruisers 10 w/Carnival and 24 overall. Just the two of us for this trip. Two days at sea going down the coast from Baltimore. Much warmer on the second day - and plenty of sunshine for lying outside. Carnival is what it is - discount cruising for the everyman...
The food is good, and plentiful. Service is good and usually prompt. Shows are fairly routine, with the ...
I sailed on the Pride on Thanksgiving week with my wife and 11 year old son. Based on all experiences this will be my last cruise on carnival and out of Baltimore.
Embarkation:
We have been at Tampa, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, San Diego, and now Baltimore. I would say Baltimore was far the worst port we have sailed from. The security line was long and the line to check in was much longer. ...
Our family loves to cruise on Carnival ships and going on the Pride was easy for us living in Virginia. Getting to the port was very convenient and the Port of Baltimore embarkation was easy. Only thing weird was that we were told not to take pictures inside the terminal. Never got an explanation, but it seemed dumb to me.
Getting on the ship was smooth, the ship was nice - some make too much ...
This was our first cruise on Carnival. This cruise was so cheap we couldn't resist it. So considering how cheap it was, it was a good deal. However, there were some issues - -
- We chose "My Time Dining" and were very surprised at how horrible the service was in the dining room. None of the wait staff was friendly and service was so slow, it often took well over 2 hours for us to eat dinner! Very ...
This will be very brief. We have sailed this ship four times all from Baltimore. Never ever had a bad experience and the crew has been first rate. We've been on the 4th deck rear wrap around each time and are now totally spoiled.
1. I wasn't dressed properly. It was chilly last week (last week October) and I didn't have enough warm clothes. Nassau and Freeport were very breezy and cooler than ...
We had a wonderful time on our cruise. I read all the reviews and did all the research before we left and came to one conclusion. Its your vacation if you choose to have a bad time you will. We had a great time sure the ship needs to be updated and the rooms don't have flat screens but we weren't at home we didn't have dishes to do ,clothes to fold or meals to make and we were to busy to watch ...
If I may start my review by imploring the state of Maryland, our governor, and Carnival Cruise lines to come to some agreement of keeping Carnival operating out of Baltimore it could only be of benefit to the state and the company. It is a great port to cruise from, easy access, and the Port of Baltimore has gotten embarkation and debarkation down to an effcient and speedy process.
The Pride is a ...
I am an experienced cruiser, many different lines from Carnival to Crystal.
My fiancé is a first timer and we didn't want to drop a ton of money if he didn't like cruising.
I was on CC prior to sailing and all the poor reviews had me soo stressed out!
Don't believe any of them!! We had a fantastic trip, my fiancé can't wait to go again!
Service great, food wonderful, room very comfortable, ...
This was my fourth cruise and my husband's first. While I had a good time, it was definitely not all that I remembered cruising with Carnival to be.
The embarkation was simple and easy. The dining options and quality of food were absolutely SUBPAR! The most enjoyable food on this voyage was the Chocolate Molten cake on the evening dessert menu and the french toast. The public bathrooms tended to ...
