Here is our honest, detailed review! We were on the Carnival Celebration from February 25 - March 3, 2024. We are a 30 year old married couple from Canada who traveled just the two of us. This is our fifth cruise together and second Carnival cruise (we have cruised Norwegian twice and MSC once). Embarkation Embarkation was very smooth. There was no waiting around. We were curb to ship in ...

Having cruised on the original Excel class ship (Mardi Gras) in 2022, we were looking forward to sailing on the Celebration, expecting similar entertainment quality and value. We got a big shock concerning the entertainment offerings shortly after departing. The shows featured at the center stage (the three-deck atrium) were very lackluster in comparison. There may have been a technical issue ...

We were invited to attend a friend’s wedding onboard Carnival Celebration so we booked and are happy we did. Loved our cabin (ocean suite) with comfortable bed and 2 tvs. Spacious bathroom and balcony. Lots of activities and shows onboard. We especially enjoyed the comedy shows at Punchliner Comedy Club and the nightclub atmosphere at Limelight Lounge. DJ Copey kept the hits playing and people ...

On Celebration, you need an App to check the daily schedule and to reserve your diner time. The problem is that you need to pay for the App. This should be included in the cruise price. I understand the reasoning for this application but the cruise line should provide such a service for free. I ask if there was other ways to reserve our diner time and the answer was to get to the dining room and ...

Bigger isn't better! The food was not good at all, no Dr Pepper, the soda machines were down more than not, poor service, bar tenders with bad attitudes, nobody came around to take your drink orders, very bad! When you went from bar to bar the drinks were made differently. We got a blue Hawaiian made 3 different ways on the same boat! No music playing in bars. All the food tasted the same, very ...

Carnival doesn't do well with bigger ships

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Celebration

For our first cruise with Carnival, we decided to go with a bigger, newer ship and landed on the Celebration. Previously cruising on a mid size ship with NCL, we noticed the differences immediately. This main point of this review is the poor ship design and how inefficient Carnival is with larger ships. We spoke with many guest who have sailed with Royal Caribbean and all of them said that ...

My husband and I were on the Carnival Celebration last week. This would be our 3rd Carnival cruise, and it will be our last. The food was awful, and I overheard passengers calling it unedible. I'm not a picky eater, and I struggled to find anything that was not greasy or overcooked. The ship had four buffets (I believe), and only two were open, with the same five or six dishes every day. ...

My wife and I aren’t wealthy, we don’t normally do a cruise every year. We’ve gone on several Carnival cruises since our first aboard the Conquest in 2004, and up to this point have really enjoyed them all. On Sunday we disembarked from our sixth cruise, aboard the Carnival Celebration. Although we overall enjoyed the cruise, things on Carnival have changed quite a bit in the last 20 years, and ...

This was our 16th cruise. We sailed on the Carnival Celebration in January 2024. The ship holds 6500 quest and 1350 employees. It is a large ship but very, very crowded, to crowded. Our worst disappointment was the food. Worst food we had on any cruise. The choices were very limited. I am not a big eater but the portions in the dinning room were very small. Had to order 2 of something that I ...

Dinner was very poor, and when I got on the boat for the first day dirty and had to have room re- cleaned. Nothing changed with dinner each night same thing and most of the food places the food was not good at all. In this ship I felt like a lost money. I will not go back on this ship no more. The ship layout was perfect but no room in your cabinet do move around bathroom very small just all the ...
