I love American Cruise Lines. I took the Columbia and Snake River cruise and had an incredible trip. I keep going back on the cruise line, because I have never found any cruise I like better. The crew is so wonderful- anything you want they take care of. The excursions give you the perfect way to see the area- this time in Washington and Oregon. The ship is so clean- I often saw people ...

We chose this cruise because it is very convenient as we live in the Portland area. We went on river cruises in Europe and liked them a lot. This experience was different. We liked the staff and how well the excursions were organized, but except evening performances there were only enrichment lectures on board. No evening parties, no contests, no events on the sun deck. There was a lot of food and ...

Excellent cruise of Columbia and Snake rivers - with Lewis and Clark history

We wanted a cruise with a Lewis and Clark theme and we got it. We went from Portland to Astoria, and then up the Columbia and then the Snake. Ended at Clarkson, WA. Two things made this cruise: 1) the historian on board, Robert Heathcock, was excellent. He gave four main lectures on L&C, and numerous mini lectures on the locks, ports, and geology. 2) the scenery was breathtaking: forests, ...

This American Cruise Line cruise on the American Song from May 28, 2023 to June 11, 2023 was spectacular. The cruise is named the Lewis and Clark tour. It was so well organized and fun. The ship left Portland and headed to Astoria just west of Portland. It is a beautiful and historic town. The historian who came with us explained the history of Lewis and Clark. He had slides and artifacts at the ...

I've been on several American Cruise Line cruises and each one is better than the last. I just love these cruises. When I checked into the room it was bright and spotlessly clean. The staterooms are so much bigger than on an ocean cruise. This ship was all balconies, so I was able to sit outside on my balcony. The best part of the cruises is always the crew. Everyone onboard is willing to do ...

We had never been on a river cruise or to the Pacific Northwest before. We had been on 2 or 3 ocean cruises before and wanted to compare with a river cruise. The American Song was very modern and nice with a variety of both large and small lounges. The dining room was large and clean. The staff and personnel were very friendly and efficient. We had a vivacious cruise director (Olivia) and ...

The most cared for ship ever. Great food, fabulous tours and friendliest staff. A must to experience. The ports were beautiful filled with activities, shopping and friendly people. Transportation was readily available at all times if you wanted to do the loops. This made it very convenient for passengers that didn't go on tours. It was very impressive to see how patient and helpful ...

From the first day, there was so much to do. We loved our port specialist and his lectures about where we were visiting and the information we learned about the Lewis and Clark experience. He was very prepared, knowledgeable and entertaining. The cruise director, Trent was always trying to keep us informed. He kept us busy whether it was with games, trivia, or bingo etc.- if you weren’t going on a ...

We departed from Portland Oregon to see an area of the country we had never visited before and cruising was the perfect way to experience the region. Going east on the rivers we viewed contrasting landscapes and learned from our guest speaker David about relevant topics such as the Lewis and Clark expedition, topography of the land, and information on all the ports we visited. He is a fantastic ...

Review: American Cruise Lines, American Song, June 5 through June 12, 2022 Our experience on American Cruise Line’s ship the American Song was a wonderful experience. It was both relaxing, enjoyable, and fun to be pampered. The scenery of mountains, as well as seeing the Columbia and Snake Rivers was beautiful and at times breath-taking. We enjoyed waking up to sit out on our deck each morning ...
