Chose this cruise for price and destination. The ports were excellent on the South Island of New Zealand. The ship was shabby, lots of external rust, and our cabin grubby on arrival. This was attended to when shown to cabin staff.
Food of average to poor standard even in the dining room. Long queues to enter. Buffet selection limited, especially with salads and fruits. Coffee in buffet the best ...
I saved my pension for this holiday with my 3 grandkids Rooms 4217 air cond so cold had to wear jacket called to get it fixed she came and tested it and said yes it is cold I will go turn it up Nothing happened still cold 4215 air cond not working replaced dial as okay then Hygeine no one getting people to wash their hands before handing utensils to dish up food Food well below heating standing ...
This cruise came up for a great price. Both my husband and myself hadn't cruised with Carnival before so we were keen to give them a go. My daughter and her husband had cruised on the Spirit and were very happy when they went a couple of years ago.
Once on-board the Legend, our initial reactions were that we were surprised at the dated and over the top decorations! They are certainly not to ...
Did a 3 night cruise and loved it. Great ship, great entertainment, alcohol at pub prices, comedy club fantastic, cabin we booked an interior but got a free upgrade to balcony which was good. I don’t get sea sick but did need to take sea sickness tablets as our first night was rough. Thoroughly recommend. Ship didn’t feel crowded lots of spaces including serenity deck for peace and quiet. If you ...
This was our first cruise with Carnival and I have to say that I think it was our least favorite. That's not to say that it was bad, it just did not come up to the standard, overall of other cruises we have been on, this being our seventh cruise.
Embarkation was smooth, but very little information was displayed and the staff did not tell you much at check-in. Other cruise lines issue the room ...
I hadn't visited New Zealand and didn't know where to start so we decided to have a glimpse of some of the noted scenic places. We had a bit of rough weather but handled it well and certainly our choice of a vista suite made the scenic cruising fantastic with views from our wrap-a-round balcony. We dined in the main restaurant almost all the time and found the staff very attentive. They tried ...
I have never been to New Zealand before. We have travelled with P&O several times and loved it. Carnival legend was disappointing with Luke warm food every meal, even Truffles restaurant the meals had to be sent back to heat them up. Food terribly disappointing.
Our cabin was spacious and we had a balcony which I think is pretty necessary. We were constantly running to open the cabin door ...
This was a 5 day cruise departing Melbourne to Tasmania. From the time I got on I could not believe the dated décor of the ship, brown everywhere you could not escape it. Very dated ship with poor activities and poor amenities. The cruise was full of children and those from the less fortunate class. Buffet terrible and dining room food terrible very little choice and stone cold most nights. ...
This was our first cruise and we chose Carnival for the child care and child friendly services offered. Really, really wish we had done more research before deciding this looked like the best option.
The embarkation and disembarkation were fine, we were more than happy to get off the ship as quickly as possible. We were fast-tracked at embarkation because of the age of our child (2 years old) ...
I am glad this was only a 3 day sampler. I read dozens of reviews prior and decided people must be super fussy, that after all the cruise line info detailing how wonderful everything is, the reviews detailing how awful everyting is must be wrong, people must be too demanding. Staff were hurrying at 8.30pm to take food trays away, there was nothing available after that. We got a "PIZZA" ...
