"This Oceania cruise was the most disappointing (even compared to Carnival).I asked another person at the desk about getting an Oceania bag, one of the advertised amenities, he said that they don't have any, and that because it is complimentary, I am not getting one...."Read More

I had always wanted to go to Buenos Aires and Rio and thought a cruise between the 2 would be wonderful. The ship was beautifully appointed and loved the dining options. Unfortunately, the ports of call really were terrible. A great frustration was that we were going to stop in San Paolo but we stopped in Santos. The only transport they offered was to a shopping mall in Santos and no way to ...
We had not been to South America prior to this sailing. Cruise was lovely and relaxing. We went in three days earlier to visit Buenos Aires. Beautiful city and lots of cultural things to do. Some of the smaller ports were very interesting we liked Buzios.
I would be nice if the simply more excursion money could be used for additional items like the beverage package. One of our tours was ...
We chose this cruise due to the itinerary, which included 3 days of sailing in Antarctica. This was our first time on Oceania, having cruised many times on Celebrity in the past. We thought that Oceania would be a bit of an upgrade from Celebrity due to the price-point and the smaller ship design. We arrived in Santiago 3 days before the cruise but planned our own time there and did not ...
I signed up for the pre-cruise hotel in Santiago. The Oceania staff at the Intercontinental were very helpful and the bus ride to the port of San Antonio was informative. Check-in went fairly smoothly. The Marina is well maintained and my Deluxe Oceanview Cabin was great. The staff on-board was very friendly, happy and helpful. I ate often at the Grand Dining Room and enjoyed all of my meals ...
We chose this cruise line based on the recommendation of friends, and the particular ship based on sailing date. What we found was that the Marina was designed strictly for tropical sailing, not colder climates. The pool area was not enclosed, and opened directly into the eating areas and passageways, leaving those areas uncomfortably cold. The upkeep on the ship was poor (lots of rust and bad ...
It’s been over 10 years since I traveled with Oceania. Our overall experience was positive. The ship is in need of some renovation as it is showing signs of aging in some areas. We werein a standard veranda cabin, and was satisfactory. The beds were very comfortable and the room layout satisfactory. The shower is quite small and a larger person would have difficulties. The dining experiences ...
I give this 4.5 stars but 1/2 stars aren't allowed. First and foremost, the service is excellent in all areas - room service, butler, restaurants - and the ship is clean and kept that way. Our stateroom was a Penthouse Suite and was what I expected in size and amenities. The bed was comfortable. Tub and showers were good sized for a cruise ship. Our suite had a full closet where we could store our ...
The obvious reason was ship included Antarctic on this trip, as well as most of S America. Great trip though, excellent staff in restaurants. Food, which used to be excellent was average at best. Repetitive menu in Main Dining Room after 12 days. Portions were minimal at best, You could actually tell that a cost reduction was in effect by selections Simple things like coffee, which used to be ...
Great experience all way around. Stateroom was on the 7th level. My room keeper was excellent. Room was prepared immediately after I left. He noticed any repairs that required fixing and had a service person take care of it at once without delay. Very friendly and helpful.
All staff on board were extremely friendly and helpful.
Food was very tasty with great variety over the 24 days. ...
We chose this itinerary because of its stop in the Falkland Islands and the several days spent scenic cruising in Antarctica, and other stops at the southern tip of South America. It was life-changing. As always Oceania delivered a superior cruise vacation. Oceania has the best food of any cruise line we have traveled with, and the staterooms are very comfortable. All ship staff -- the servers, ...
