Amazon River always been a intriguing destination , let alone getting o Manaus from Santiago , Chile is not a simple coordination then of course Brazil rainforest is a unique envirometthat any one would like to observe from a five star cruise ship , my arrival was direct from the airport , the schedule washboard on April 7 and ship overnights 1 night in Manaus so touring Manaus was very helfull ...

This was a once in a lifetime cruise starting in Santiago, Chile….glacial cruising around Cape Horn, Antarctica landings, up the east coast of South America, ending deep in the Amazon in Manaus, Brazil. For booking, this cruise was forty-two days and technically two back to back cruises on Seabourn Quest, which is reinforced for Antarctica. This was the last summer trip to Antarctica for the ...

I always was intrigued about the Amazon , being the largest widest river in the world crossing across all of south. America , I was very lucky to fin a last minute cruise ( 1 week before ) rush to get my yellow fever vaccines it was not easy to find u¡in Santiago , Chile where I am from , then getting to Manaus involved 2 days traveling and it seem every minute like I was heading to a very ...

I picked this cruise because of the unusual and very interesting itinerary. I do not regret selecting this cruise. The crew was very interactive with the guests and catered to our desires. The size of the ship and the quality of the guests lead to a community atmosphere. I think by the end of the cruise there were more than 100 guests and almost the entire crew that greeted me by name. The ...

This was our third Seabourn cruise but the first in which we upgraded to a penthouse spa suite (because of a good deal) and the first where we crossed the Atlantic. Both were great experiences and are the focus of this review. The suite first. There are four of these above the spa area, reached only by a flight of curving stairs and so not practical for passengers with mobility issues. The deck ...

We sailed from Manaus down the Amazon for several days before stopping at several Brazilian coastal ports, then Montevideo and Buenos Aires. We happened to book the same hotel the ship used, Caesar Business, in Manaus, and it was a 3 star hotel with a nice breakfast. We took a taxi to the port, a few miles away. The ship was familiar to the others in the fleet. Very well decorated and ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

Just returned from 15 days on the Sojourn -- was delighted with the service and food. DH was nervous about being on a bigger ship but he was amazed to see the same level of service with almost twice as many guests. Suffice it to say we put a deposit on our next cruise before we left! Took notes on my iPhone and thought I'd share - Day 1 - Local tour company flubbed transfers. Seabourn needs to ...
