CARNIVAL CATTLE CRUISE. Itinerary: LA, Hawaii, Honolulu, Guam, Malay, Vietnam, Singapore. Derek Johnson- Carnival Splendor cabin 1277- Oct5>30 2019. Many apologies about embarkation proceedings onto Carnival Splendor, at Los Angeles, long beach, 5 Oct 2019. Verbal platitudes are not enough. This explanation using my personal experience as 70 years old male typifies what occurred. Arrived at ...

As my husband had just retired it was time for us to try a longer cruise and The Splendour Journey Cruise of 24 days looked perfect. After a bit of a problem getting onto the ship (3 hour wait) due to technical issues with collecting passports and other paperwork, we were onboard. Our cabin was an inside on deck 6 midships. It was a nice size and had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. It ...

We stayed the night before at a Marriott near LAX and took an Uber to the port the next morning. The embarkation in Long Beach, a disorganized three-hour lineup in heat, with no water and no place to sit down for the first two hours, was, in retrospect, a foreshadowing of the disappointing trip to come. It was as if Carnival staff had never done this before and was thus more concerned with ...

Loved this cruise but it had its hiccups

This was a fantastic package deal for Australian cruises! Embarkation was an absolute disaster standing in the sun for well over 2 and a half hours with no shade or water or explanation given. The first point of contact was from a carnival employee in tears as we entered the igloo building As it was so late, there was no embarkation photographers to be found which was disappointing. Our cabin ...

Crew was fabulous and friendly. Cabin steward For room 1043 fantastic. Lee was so kind. Food not so great. Even the steakhouse upstairs very small Portions, waitresses were snooty at steakhouse. Ship itself was easy to walk through and not too long at food lines. Shows were awesome. Comedians not so funny. Our one tour to stone Island beach was a big joke. Peddlers wouldn’t go away. We ...

Embarkation - Terrible: To begin, parking at Long Beach is an absolute nightmare; the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful, and they refused to open the parking structure until after noon (regardless of priority boarding). Once we got into the terminal, faster to the fun helped to skip most of the lines, but after we checked in and headed to the ship we were stopped at the gangway because ...

Excellent 7 day itinerary, loved this ship and staff and especially our ocean view room. Very quiet and peaceful. Skip the excursions booked on board, much better value in port (Same tour half price) Camp Ocean is Amazing, they took wonderful care of our kids, made it seamless, and were super chill (not too many unnecessary rules) CABO: Had a beach day in Cabo, walked to Cannery Beach ...

As an experienced travel agent I had not sailed with Carnival since 1989. We decided to try again, much to our dismay. There was nothing except the steak house to commend this cruise. The dining service was in some cases energetic but without adequate training poorly provided. The food was of poor quality. The music sources all had bass turned up so much above the rest of the music that all ...

We went as a group of nine people. We enjoyed the Fun on the Sea and the tours at Cabo, Mazatlan, and Pto. Vallarta. The ship crew were very courteous, kind, and the service was Excellent. We were assigned in Deck 8414. I love the cute surprises Dennis created using a white towel. The cabin is always kept clean and sheets & towels always changed . . David (Peru) and his team served us during ...

Great Itinerary, Slightly Disappointing Ship Experience

I took a holiday with my family to Las Vegas and decided that, whilst in the US, we would take the opportunity to see Mexico on a cruise. We booked the 7-day Mexica\n Riviera cruise on the Carnival Splendor. My daughter is in a wheelchair and we booked one of the very few fully accaessible cabins on the ship - a Spa cabin (oceanview). It was not in the best location though - right at the ...
