We all provided proof of double vaccine and paid £72 for little one to have test by the company Disney use. Arrived at Tilbury with 2.15 embarkation slot. Silver Wind is in for a full refit in twelve months time. This is probably twelve months too late.
Looking tired, the ship is saved by its excellent crew. There was nothing intrinsically wrong with the cruise, probably still a good 4.5 star experience. But that is not how Silverseas is marketed. Fellow travellers were discussing looking elsewhere.

We disembarked the Silver Wind in early June and generally had a very good cruise.
The main attraction, certainly so far as my OH was concerned, was the sail in and out under Tower Bridge (note to destination lecturer - not "The" Tower Bridge, just Tower Bridge).

We took the 12 night British Isles trip in June. This is probably my eighth cruise and first on Princess. The good is that the ship was nice, the staff was hard working, the food was always decent to very good with a large and changing selection on the buffet. We booked a cruise from London to Iceland to visit the west coast of Ireland and NW Scotland in September 2018. What they DON'T tell you is that 7/10 destinations require tenders to get you ashore. That is impossible in the constant rough weather we experienced and we ended up going to Dublin,Belfast and Glasgow, where we got off the ship and came home.
