We have been on several cruises including having used MSC before. This cruise has completely put us off cruising ever again. The positives - The cabin was fine, smaller than other ships but this wasn’t a problem The cabin attendant was lovely, he couldn’t do enough for us. The negatives - no mandatory hand sanitizers getting on and off the ship or in the food areas. The food was poor and service ...
We chose this cruise because of the destinations. We enjoyed each and every port and are amazed at the beautiful locations.
The ship has numerous lounges that were enjoyed by the guests. From the exercise classes provided poolside to the dancing in the lounges, you can say that this cruise was very active on all fronts. The theater entertainment was good and the dancers were excellent, all ...
Will start off by saying we really wanted to enjoy this cruise. Had booked it for my wife's 50th, based purely on having seen MSC boats about, and they always looked quite glamorous, and something a little different from the UK cruise lines we've cruised with before. Wasn't a budget cruise, it seems good value for the basic cruise but by the time you add in the flights, transfers, premium drinks, ...
We really enjoyed this cruise, as we do most. The ship is about 15 years old, but was kept in fantastic condition. The ship so white on the outside, no rust to be seen.
All staff encountered were friendly and fun. Our balcony on deck 11 was nice. Only negative, they could update the TV to something a little larger. Loved all the large mirrors in the room to make the area feel bigger than it ...
Having the possibility to board directly in Lisbon, made all the difference. This was my first MSC cruise and I enjoyed it very much.
The employees were outstanding at all levels!
Many thanks and praises to the staff at the Ville Bourgeoise restaurant, you are the best!!!
Also, at the buffet diniung, despite the number of guests, they were always very empathetic and professional.

Experienced cruiser (15+ with CCL, NCL, RCCL, and MSC) This was our first European Cruise Experience. We embarked on this cruise ship mid itinerary (Portugal 7/27/22 and disembarked on 8/10/22) so we were part of 2 different cruises. The beginning portion of our cruise had less passengers (~3000) than the 2nd portion (~5000 pax) so we were able to see a big difference. The Virtuosa was ...
When searching for my third cruise and having experienced more premium offerings, i discovered this 10 day western Medi itinerary. Immediate concerns were that i heard MSC was an average cruise line, in the same club as RCL and Carnival. So what did i thought? Ok, we will have the ports. The food, staff, ship will be secondary.
Completely wrong idea.
Lets review by items:
Ship: recently ...
After 20 months it was great to be cruising again. Virtuosa is a beautiful brand new ship. Food was excellent, even though we only ate in a specialty restaurant once. MSC is really up to par with the best when it comes to food. Staff on the ship was great, really everybody very helpful and doing their best. Entertainment was good but a bit the same, every day, always great costumes and great ...
Embarkation was quick and smooth. The Preziosa is a beautifull ship with a good layout. We were cruising in an Aurea suite which includes the ‘Easy’ drinking package, massage and spa access.
Overall food quality is below average, in the buffet hot food is just warm. If you’re looking for Nutella or something alike they refer to the shop where you can buy(!) it. Never heard that one before. At ...
Me and my boyfriend (30 and 37-both Greeks) decided to sail for the second time with MSC Preziosa because the first cruise was just fantastic and we loved the vibes of beeing in such an amzing ship!
We sailed at October 2018 for a 9 nights cruise to Genoa, Malaga, Casablanca, Lisbon, Barcelona, Marseilles. We had a great experience overall.
THE SHIP. The ship is absolutely amazing. Big, ...
