Not good
"We chose MSC to go away for Christmas largely because of the price. Having said that we paid over 3k for 11 nights, so not exactly a bargain. Where to start? Well we arrived at Milan Linate airport with no delays..."Read More

The pick-up from the airport and boarding the ship, went very well. The facilities at the ship is very good, but that is probably all at the positive list. The service in the 2 receptions, were non existing. There were a huge lack of general knowledge and understanding of English language. If we asked about general information about the arriving ports, the answer was pretty much, take a taxi ...

This was our first cruise and unfortunately very disappointing. Fortunately, we traveled with good friends so we could laugh at the countless things that did not work. I will start with the biggest lack and annoyance on the cruise: The information desk. Alone the name is a joke - information could not be obtained. Most of the staff spoke very badly and incomprehensibly English and knew ...

I wanted to experience the mediterranean without having to move from hotel to hotel so I thought a cruise would be a great alternative when travelling alone. I was apprehensive to say the least after reading what other people had written in their reviews. The flights were long but reasonable (I flew Etihad). I had 3 nights in Genoa before embarking the Magnifica staying at the Grand Savoia ...

Pros: - The itinerary was great. Genoa, Barcelona, Morocco, Tenerife, Madeira, Malaga and Rome. - The ship was clean - The price was affordable - The kids had fun at the pool - Shore excursion in Rome was great - The spa was nice Cons: - The housekeeping services were basic. Other cruise lines we have used do special things for housekeeping rather than just making up the ...

Overall the cruise was good. This was our 3rd MSC cruise and the first on a mid sized ship. Previous cruises were on the larger ships. Basically runs just like the bigger ones with the slightly smaller space not really noticeable .My only small complaint and it was a common comment with the others in our group was the way the dining room meals for breakfast and lunch were run. Part of your meal ...

We had cruised previously on the msc opera and had a fantastic experiance ,so chose a xmas cruise on the magnifica and booked an aurea suite cabin . On boarding in genoa we had to kill time as our suite would not be ready until 14.00 ,but as we had hand luggage we chanced going to drop it off early and were shocked when we saw our balcony suite with ''ocean views''?? ,as our balcony faced a steel ...

We had cruised with MSC on Divina a few years ago so had an idea what to expect but the experience this time was much worse. I suppose you get what you pay for and the package price, which included the all inclusive drinks, was one of the reasons we chose to try them again as well as the status match scheme that meant we were Gold Level. Embarkation was not as bad as we expected and the ship ...

We were pleasantly surprised since we had read negative reviews prior to our trip about the cruise ship. Embarkation was a breeze and very organized in Genoa, Italy. We arrived in Genoa a few days prior to embarkation and stayed within walking distance to the port. Ports of calls were excellent, Genoa, Barcelona, Casablanca, Tenerife, Medeira, Malaga, and Rome. The disembarkation in ...

Not having too many cruise lines to chose from, for January, we picked MSC for the itinerary. We read reviews, good and bad, and thought we would go for it, as this would be the last time cruising in the Mediterranean. We were presently surprised. The decor was calming to the eyes, not as some said gaudy. The crew were pleasant although there was a couple of senior officers a bit " stuffy" ...

We choose this ship due to the price being very competitive, and booked for 3 people as we took our 20 year old grandson with us, we booked without reading any reviews and only started to read them after we had booked the trip, We were horrified by some of the reviews people saying you had to buy tea and water and even about a hotel charge, So to put the record straight you could get tea ,coffee ...
