"EMBARKATION: Celebrity assigned us an 11:30 terminal arrival time, so we left the hotel at 10:00 am and drove to the port (10 minutes).Other areas on the ship we really enjoyed included having tea or soda/coffee and snacks in the Cafe al Baccio on Deck 4 overlooking the Grand Plaza; the Eden for lunch, music, or a quiet relaxing spot; the impressive, well-equipped, forward-facing gym; and, the peaceful pool Solarium on port days...."Read More

1-10 of 574 Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) Celebrity Edge Cruise Reviews
I sailed on the two week Celebrity Edge crossing in April 2023. It was my first celebrity cruise, and my first crossing, since Covid, so I’ve been away a while. The ship was only half full - 1400 guests, and almost that many crew on board. I believe there were literally only three kids on board, and perhaps four or five folks in their 20's. Definitely an older crowd.
Staff are professional ...
My third transatlantic eastbound crossing and love the sea days - reading, sunning, casino, brilliant speakers. I was prepared that these single cabins have no drawer space. None! My steward, Dominick, rounded up extra hangers and underwear/socks stayed in packing cube.
I was prepared to dislike the infinity balcony but was surprised I liked it. I never closed the frosted French doors that ...
We were very excited to try the new Edge class ship. We found some aspects to exceed our expectations and a few to fall short. Our primary disappointment's were with the Thermal suite and the optional complimentary evening dining venues . The thermal suite area was very noisy and not relaxing at all. The climate showers are not private. Being a coed environment is not favorable.
Complimentary ...
The Edge is a beautiful ship but I find the 11 night ABC island cruise to be very disappointing for a number of reasons: first, the food in the Oceanview Cafe was substandard, there was not alot of choice and the menus for breakfast and lunch remained the same for all 12 days. Further, not once were there cuts of roast beef set out for lunch.
The 4 "free" restaurants are quite frankly, a ...
My wife and I took this 11 day cruise to Aruba with her high school friend and her friend's boyfriend. Pros: the food was excellent, and all the Celebrity staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the Tuscan restaurant and ate there every night of the cruise. We also believed we got a good deal on the cost of the trip and the $400 in free benefits.
Cons: the excursion to ...
We went on the edge to see the new type of ship celebrity was putting out.The ship was beautiful. Everything was neat and clean. The cabins were immaculate. We enjoyed the new veranda balcony. It was nice being able to see outside without the wind and heat entering the room.We opened the balcony windows twice and decided that it was better keeping the heat and moisture out of the room. The black out ...
We wanted to try out the new Infinite verandas and liked this 11 day itinerary. It was a perfect fit for our grandson’s two week Spring break. The entertainment was wonderful; some of the best we have seen on a cruise ship in years. We were very disappointed in the food. As mentioned, very limited menu selections. We did two Specialty restaurants, Le Petite and Fine Cut. These were very good. ...
I doubt that we will ever sail in this category again. We booked while ships were sailing half empty and got a big discount thru the casino. Our go to suite ( when available) has been the Celebrity suite especially on the hump( big balcony). Somehow I thought A Royal suite would be more special. You had the tiniest balcony with two of the most uncomfortable chairs ( no lounge). And considering ...
This is my 27th review for Cruise Critic. Unlike some reviewers that join this group just to complain about a bad experience, I have, for the past 10+ years felt obliged to write about my cruise experiences. I am a professional writer in another life which tends to make my reviews verbose, long and thorough. If you want to know simply if we liked our time on the Edge, just count the stars. If you ...
We are very experienced cruisers (over 66 cruises) and while there are some ships we like and some we don't, it takes something to really impress us. The Celebrity Edge did just that. I am going to address only things about the ship. Port excursions and opinions about ports I will leave to others.
To begin, the ship itself is beautiful and functional. Plenty of gorgeous and/or interesting ...
