My wife and I have been on several cruises with different cruise lines. We've docked next to Oasis of the Seas and added this ship to our cruise bucket list. We are new empty-nesters and decided to take our first vacation in a long time. We booked Oasis, and we are beyond glad that we did! What an amazing ship! It is extremely clean. Wanda in housekeeping, did an immaculate job keeping our room clean and tidy. She was so friendly and really made our vacation special. We had an ocean view room on the 9th floor. The window was huge, and it allowed us to look out and see the beautiful water and ports. All of the shows were outstanding! Our favorites included "Come Fly with Me", the aqua show, and the ice show. We were never bored. In fact, we were exhausted by the end of the day from all of the activities that we did. Food - All of the food was delicious! The MDR service was great, but even the food in Windjammer exceeded our expectations. Yes, it is a buffet, but it was tasty and uniquie every day. You will definitely want to try Sabor, the Mexican cantina on the ship. It was the best Mexican food we've ever had. Try the margaritas and the guacamole was delicious! Embarkation/Debarkation - Quick and easy. The whole process took about 25 to 30 minutes each time. Port Canaveral does an amazing job moving over 6,000 people quickly. The 7-nights went by quickly and we can't want to check out another Oasis-class ship soon! Read Less

First time on the Oasis (but my 20th cruise overall on most of the main cruiselines) and went with a neighborhood friend. We had an oceanview balcony on deck 8, cabin #8-282 and the location was great. It was close to elevators/stairs and just a short walk to Central Park. Speaking of elevators, there are plenty of them fore and aft on this ship and you seldom have to wait long. Positives: Park Cafe for coffee and a light breakfast, plus it was a nice place to escape the crowds; spacious balcony; great cabin steward; the Solarium, although it could get REALLY hot in there; the diving show was terrific; the Latin band at Boleros was fabulous, but they never started until very late in the evening; the ship was pretty easy to get around and it didn't take us long to figure out where things were and how to get there. Negatives: Food in main DR was just OK, although it was usually served hot - service felt rushed and impersonal and we noticed an absence of simple things that make a meal, e.g., there was never an offer of parmesan cheese for any of the pasta dishes we had. We only ate in the Windjammer one night - the 2nd formal night when the line to get in the main DR was a block long - we weren't the only ones up there overdressed either! I was surprised at how small the buffet was compared to other ships, not many choices. I missed having a cast and crew musical show in the theater at night - I've never cared for Cats and that was the first few nights' entertainment offer. The headliner show was a 4-piece rock band, and Come Fly With Me was the only true "show" in the theater. But the biggest thing missing to us was the lack of any music venue anywhere on the ship before 9:45 or 10PM. I've always enjoyed listening to a lounge band or a piano bar with a cocktail before and after dinner but there was nothing going on. Most evenings, the promenade was just plain dull, unless you consider the "sales" of purses, watches or tee-shirts exciting entertainment. Later in the week there was a disco show with dancers and a DJ which I enjoyed, wish they would make better use of this space more often. Nights were so boring that we always ended up going back to our room and reading after dinner until there was some music on offer. Definitely not what we expected from a ship this size. Labadee was very pretty, we took the tram around the resort and ended up at Columbus Cove where we found plenty of shade and beautiful scenery. Falmouth for us was just a walk around the dozen Diamond International shops, a Red Stripe at Margaritaville and then back on the ship to enjoy it without the crowds. Cozumel, we booked a tour through our online TA called "Salsa, Salsa, Salsa" at Playa Mia Beach and it was fantastic fun. We learned how to make several kinds of salsas, guacamole and then learned how to dance the Salsa. It included unlimited open bar, special margaritas with side shots of tequila during the slicing and dicing, and a lunch of quesadillas and taquitos. We could also partake of the buffet at the resort but we were too full! Afterwards, we lounged on the beach and swam before heading back at our leisure - they put us in a cab that was pre-paid by the company and took us back to the pier. Overall, we had a good trip, weather was fantastic, seas were calm - never once felt any movement. I would have given it a much higher rating had there been something to do before 10 at night. We are primarily a River Cruise couple and being on a large ship for a week didn't seem to exciting to us. We received an invitation from a family member to join them and we did. The Oasis of the Seas is something special and from the first time we saw it in Port Canaveral as it dwarfed other ships, to an extremely easy bag drop off and check-in process to walking into the Promenade Deck 5, we were in awe. We purchased the Delux Beverage Package and I would highly recommend it. Beers ran approximately $8 - 10 dollars each, so if you plan to have five drinks throughout the day, it is worth it alone not to have the package and not worry about how much you're spending,,,, you're on vacation. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunches in the Park Cafe and the Solarium Bistro. The dinners in the main dining rooms were just OK+ considering how many guests they are serving. The several meals we had in Chops Grille were excellent (both lunch and dinners). The service was excellent for all meals. I would highly recommend the Specialty Restaurant Dining Package of which there are two. Entertainment was better then anticipated and although Cats is a very boring show, listening to Memory made it worth the long seating. The Aquatic Show was excellent as well as the Frozen In Time skating show. Come Fly With Me (Musical, Dancing and acrobatics) was awesome..... but the Headliner left much to be desired. All in all, our cruise was just wonderful and we will be looking forward to another cruise next year; or sooner. Read Less
