Saw an advertised “special deal” on Carnival - $749 for 8 nights so wanted to see if we would enjoy a longer cruise in possibly a different region with them. Food in restaurant, service and staff excellent. Ship was kept spotlessly clean. Cabin 4118 was spacious and our Cabin Steward, Ketut, maintained the room to a very high standard. He addressed us by name at all times, enquired about our activities and always had a welcoming smile. Lots of fun trivia, Serenity area was a bonus, entertainment was on par with other cruise lines. Only minor downside was the setup of the food in the Lido. We found it very spread out and difficult if you wanted to eat different food but enjoy it at the same time as the group you were travelling with. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely book another Carnival cruise. My daughter did a Caribbean cruise with Carnival 3 years ago and says she would also book another cruise with them. Read Less

We were offered a very good deal which included Balcony, airfares and $500 spending money at a travel agents mini expo otherwise we wouldn't have chosen to do this cruise. We found it very relaxing but wouldn't want to be on there during school holidays. Eat in the Dining room for breakfast and dinner, staff were fantastic and very talented - the nightly show in the dining room was sometimes better than the theatre production. Loved the Serenity Bar and over 18 area although the pool was way too small. Ports of call, Noumea - was a Sunday so only the markets open, Mare, lovely looking island, next time would do the bus trip to the beach and Isles of Pines was just gorgeous. Could have laid on that beach all day. Embarkation and Disembarkation was very smooth. We liked all the nooks and crannies to sit and read/drink. Bingo was a huge rip off - never paid out more than $700 in the five games, no jackpots and we figured some days they were taking in over $5000 and the staff while fun were too busy having their private jokes. Rust in the Balcony door made it hard to open. Room was nice, spacious. Only went to one seminar (Eat more lose weight) and a stretching class. Stretching class was good but the seminar was misnamed - should have been how to detox to lose weight. Perhaps I am a cynic. Overall came home relaxed and a bit more tanned. Read Less

Coincided with our Anniversary. Cabin was good we have had this one before enjoy the indentation which keeps the wind off. We were well look after in the dining room with our friend Dessi. The dinning staff were great thanks Costa and his team. Food was fantastic plenty of variety. Eli cruise director very approachable called me lovely, said he sees us more than his parents. We are platinum cruises. The seas we kind to us like a mill pond only one day when we had a few white caps Meet the new captain lovely man. Entertainment good shows good especially 88 keys. The violin trio was fantastic so too Rod with his country music. Isle of Pines beautiful as usual, first time with a high tide was quite different to swim had a very relaxing time clear blue waters. Noumena next port of call we did the Double Decker bus good tour good price good commentary first time enjoyed would recommend. Stopped at the pastry shop first time for us my husband is a retired pastry chef was interested to see what the fuss was about, a bit expensive but very nice to eat. Lifou next port have been a few times did vanilla plantation. A drive into the country in an nine seate4 aircon bus lady driver no commentary. Lady tour guide was not to pleasant, but it was very interesting tour. A refreshment was included we bought some vanilla pods all sealed no trouble getting through customs when declared. Last port Mare not my favourite island bus to beach to expensive and there was wind. We just walked around for half hour then back on ship. I think they could find a better place to go. Over all it was a great cruise we relaxed and enjoy our 49 anniversary. Read Less
