Willis Island lies beyond the Great Barrier Reef and is one of Australia's three southernmost islands -- the only one of which that is actually inhabited. However, it is not a residential island. It is inhabited by a weather station. Cruise ships sail by the island while an onboard guide points out notable sights, which may include the island's flora and fauna.
