About Cruising to Cincinnati

Known as the Queen City because of its cultural offerings and rapid industrial growth during Westward Expansion, Cincinnati, Ohio, offers scenic views of the Ohio River. Those views aren't surprising as this City of Seven Hills gets its second moniker from several named hills that encompass the area. Visitors should be aware that the Cincinnati region includes the Kentucky towns of Newport and Covington. As its name suggests, Riverboat Row, on the Kentucky side, is where the riverboats dock. Transportation between both sides of the river is convenient using the Southbank Shuttle, which costs $1 per person, each way

Cincinnati is known for its chili and beer. The Over-the-Rhine district, settled by the Germans, pours a variety of craft beers at several establishments. On the Kentucky side, the B-Line Bourbon Trail seduces those with a taste for this Southern spirit. The chili in Cincinnati is no ordinary chili; it is often used as a topping for pasta or as a hotdog sauce and served in a variety of ways. For dessert, don't miss Graeter's handcrafted ice cream, Oprah Winfrey's favorite.

Architecture and culture thrive in this city that continues to revive and improve itself. The restored Union Terminal now houses several museums in the Cincinnati Museum Center.
