(and costly) Embarcation in Laem Chabang was a challenge, a two and a half hour drive seemed way too long, to then be stuck at the Mammoth container port for two days was just not acceptable.Another container port and another two-hour drive to the city.Read More

Did not meet Expectations

We especially chose this cruise ship because of its large cabin and bathroom and the "best cruise for cuisine".For lunch we liked the Waves grill but the last time we went they had Sate which was meat on a stick and no Peanut sauce or any sauce.Read More

"See the world from your bus window..."

The trips over the first half of the cruise were, except for the one in Singapore and the last one in Bali, the very worst guided tours that we have ever been on.The first 14 days of our cruise they did daily Covid PCR tests to satisfy Indonesia port requirements, but this was dropped for the last 14 days in Australia (though Australia had a much higher Covid rate at the time).Read More

Cruise to paradise - Bangkok to Bali

Unfortunately, we did not get to experience the entire Jakarta Highlights tour and so missed the main Cathedral and Mosque tour, which we were told were the best parts of the tour by others, because a couple on our tour bus fueled a mutiny and forced the guide and driver to take us back to the ship.Ports: Bangkok: we had 2 days here, but the port is so far away from the city, that it was not easy to arrange transportation and Viking did not provide transportation.Read More
